Be me Run out of fuel 100km from the next town Try to push car up hill Car no go Bring gas tank and walk to said town Drop wallet and have to walk back Retrieve wallet and return to town Try to fill up gas tank but nothing happens Buy Jerry can and attempt to fill it Nothing happens again Drop wallet again flailing around Discover gas tank somehow has 5 liters of fuel Return to car and limp it the rest of the way to town 10/10 game would recommend

A note before the review: Anything review that says this game is "abandoned" is false, the game is RELEASED, the devs FINISHED the game, so they no longer update it. It's not abandoned because the game isn't still in early access and there are no more promised updates that were scraped. Anyway, the game is great. I will admit, every once in a while you will encounter a bug, but they arrent super common and usually are fixed by just saving and reloading. The scenery is nice and stylized, and the gameplay, while repetitive, is fun to come back to. While I still think the price is a little steep while off sale, it goes on sale for $2 or $3 multiple times a year, so if you aren't in the mood to pay $15, you can always wait a little and get it for less.

(I got this game as a gift!) In terms of what this game is at it's core; You're driving a crap car from one place, to another. With some economy mechanics as well! What this game isn't; A car mechanic simulator. I am however quite fond of this game if it's looked at in the first light! Though, the game does have a few issues- it wasn't quite programmed with 'return trips' in mind, however it DOES allow for them- they may be a little hampered by some issues with how the game generates routes. I do recommend this game, it's really nice. Also, please do not turn up the radio when you have uncle, you'll make him sad :(

I want to give Jalopy a negative review because the developer really dropped the ball, but I can’t help but enjoy it. The game is full of bugs and issues, but there’s something oddly satisfying about traveling, managing your car, and scraping together enough cash to survive. The core ideas, planning routes, upgrading your car, and exploring different environments are great, but the execution needs work. I’d recommend picking it up for under 3 euros, as it’s not worth much more. A bit of graphics improvement, bug fixes, and a more lively world with more NPCs would go a long way to make this game shine.

NOTE BEFORE PURCHASE: This game is abandoned and has an absurd amount of bugs. The game has a great vibe to it, and great attention to detail. Each country you pass through has its own brand of each good. The car feels fun to maintain and upgrade. I just wish the radio had more variation, really. The biggest problem is the copious amount of bugs. I write this review as I'm forced to stop leaving Hungary due to the world no longer generating and leaving a sheer edge that drops you into the void (Notably, I've previously managed to get through this section). Mirrors are buggy as they show terrain unload around you. The game is unpolished, but the gameplay alone I can recommend.
