this game is amazing! The atmopshere is gud, the ai is really well done! especially with legs actually trying to hide from your POV in classic mode, AND everything about it is fricking amazing! The developer did a really good job with this game and if you're looking to jump out your seat and be the first to go on the sun, this is 100% for you!

Ok, today I want to delight the reader with a little game. Let's take pen and paper and write down everything a dev needs to make a great horror game, ok? Let's start: - insanely detailed terabyte heavy photorealistic graphics - a HUUUUUUUUGE open world full of tiny tiny tiny collectibles to pick up - an overcomplicated inventory system that forces you to stop and decide what to take with you every 10 seconds - hundreds of thousands of perks, abilities, stats and whatever to level up through years of grinding (because today if you don't have an RPG system you are nobody) - an absurdly noisy generic-looking monster that shouts right at your face every 2 seconds - jumpscare after jumpscare after jumpscare - online coop (because streamers need money) - tons of senseless complications that are there just because they are trendy (yes, I'm looking at you crafting!) - a spasmodically stretched play time filled with the same exact things repeated again and again just to mock the player and the money they have spent And that's it. Did you write everything down? Good! Now crumple that piece of paper and throw it down the toilet. Because, I'll never, NEVER get tired of repeating this, ALL you need to make a GREAT indie horror game is just ONE single thing: A CLEVER IDEA. Really, you don't need anything else. The horror landscape nowadays is over-saturated by the same stuff slapped at us again and again, so, when I finally see a game like this one here that introduces something truly new, I almost believe I am in front of a divine miracle. Really, this game is so fresh, so intelligent, so masterfully crafted that I almost felt like I was playing a horror game for the first time in my life. This dev came up with a simple but incredibly clever idea: usually in horror games we must use stealth to avoid monsters, right? What if, for once, we let THE MONSTERS use stealth to stalk and ambush the player? Genius. This is simply genius. We, the players, are COMPLETELY unprepared to face a scenario like this. That's why this game is so scary. Probably one of the scariest games I have ever seen in my whole life. No ultra-realistic graphics, no inventory, no crafting, no bullshit. Just the monster against you. Against your intelligence. I am honestly astonished, I can't believe that such a simple idea managed to yield the most original survival horror experience I have ever found here on Steam. DEFINITELY recommended not only to all horror fans, but also to all people who still remember what a true videogame is. Cheers guys!
