Great Metroidvania - balanced gameplay - playthrough on hard was quite challenging at times - my 7 year old son was able to play through on normal setting without too much problem. Great graphics and music.

Islets is a fun, very laid back metroidvania that doesn't have the largest difficulty curve. Compared to others of the genre, this game is very starter friendly. Would recommend for those wanting to play and support an indie developed game

The best Metroidvania I've played in ages. Doesn't try to reinvent the wheel or deliver some deep and meaningful story, instead it focuses on great gameplay, fun characters, and a fantastic, gradual progression system. And it's so fun. The story is serious, you have to fight and kill enemies, and such, but it's just cute and light. Like a Saturday morning cartoon. Left a ear-to-ear grin on my face. Just fantastic!

Exploring the world of Islets was such a good time! I played on the default difficulty and that was just the right amount of challenge for me. Though, I would have loved to not have any of the boss fights. I would happily just explore the world to try and bring it back together without any combat. While also getting lots of letters in my mail box :D
