There are eight reasons why this is my favorite game on this account.... 1 Light-hearted plot with a good cast of characters 2 On higher difficulties you do need to create strategies for combating the higher-level monsters 3 The job system based on weapon experience is an enjoyable novelty of the game 4 it’s a well animated game with a mostly full audio for the main 4 characters that I find more often than not I revisit for the... 5. ehhh this joke is getting played out you all know the real eight reasons 1-8 boobah Ultimately if you're into impressive peaks and valleys with your cup of mostly vanilla eroge this is the game for you if not then move along.

TL;DR You'd be a dummy to pass up on this. Good-hearted adventure JRPG with a hefty quest system, good characters, and good turn-based combat. Content Warnings: Uncensored patch needed for all of this: Public sex, exhibitionism (yes, they're different), breast worship, nipple play (you need only glance at the art to understand the emphasis), ahegao, watersports (briefly), naked apron, pole dancing (...sort of), tentacles (brief), slime (brief), vanilla (vastly), big breasts (OBVIOUSLY). So the original short review said the following: "All the developers had to say was 'We're hijacking the SaGa Frontier System.' That's it. That sells the game." That holds up damned well. For those not initiated, we'll get to it as I hammer out this game's strong points. 1. Story. It's a harem adventure. You are the errant prince of a crown that is angling for a more permanent alliance with its neighboring kingdoms. But with your rambunctious, "who cares about the crown" manner, your father decides its high time to curb that rebellious attitude and immediately weaves a plan that sends you and four other kingdoms' princesses searching for a MacGuffin, all while The Bachelor music plays in the background. You're all shipped to an island steeped in the world's old lore at tasked to become true adventurers, and to bring home the MacGuffin, and also a wife & future queen from the four girls. You are also, as is common in such games, the Silent Protagonist™, limited to choices on certain scenes as a means of expression. The girls more than make up for it, as each is charming, ambitious, passionate, and endearing in their own way as they vie for your blank-faced affection, all while answering the not-so-new hankering for open and free adventure outside their castles' walls. The chain of subplots that encompass the quests are all basic, but still hit the right notes to ensure you're having a good time, no matter your own pacing in the game progression. The girls carry their weight across the expanding story, in the steamy scenes, and in the battle system. It's not a wowzers kind of epic thumbed from the fingers of the long-passed Charles Dickens, but if you have the adventure itch and the harem itch, they get the job done just fine. 2. Game Mechanics. This is the Romancing SaGa system—or to be specific, this game takes it JRPG cues straight from PSX's SaGa Frontier. For the uninitiated, I'll take the sidebar to tell you Square-Enix is rereleasing SaGa Frontier in a Director's Cut format, with additional storyline and even a previously-cut route protagonist this spring, and to GET THE GAME (srsly it's an amazing piece of work). To short-hand the game's system as best I can, you do not level up traditionally, but instead get random stat increases post battle (HP, MP, INT, WILL, STR, etc etc etc). Learning skills will come to your characters during battle from using various weapons, with some skills opening specific chains of more powerful skills. As well, the enemies scale based on your main character's HP, meaning the challenge can easily beat down your front door if you're not focused on earning skills or magic. Island Saga borrow this to lesser effect. Skills work as stated, as do stat gains and weapon/element affinity (how hard you can hit with your weapon/magic attack. This is a system right at home for me, as it incentivizes use in various schools of attack and to not overlook buff or special techniques that can easily turn the tide of a tough battle. And this is an indie style game without that pro veneer polish, so quite frankly if one wishes, they can easily overpower the crop of enemies with enough grit, planning, or just by lucking on high-end loot early game (happens more than you think). You're never hopelessly outmatched so long as your wits are about you and you're exploring the maps proper. 3. The porn. I will be the first to say I am not a super duper fan of big boobed heroine types. Not out of dislike, but just because it's a vanilla flavor I"ve had one-too-many times. But imagine my shock when I find myself loving this all with little issue. Exaggerated for comedy, but charming. The art's bloody gorgeous, and the animation style looping and camera work is an open relief to many tried and tread VN techniques. Island Saga doesn't really reinvent the wheel, here, but you won't be bored by the juicy bits you get to. I'd be remiss to not poke a critique at something the designers & devs could've fixed. To sum, magic in the game is inferior to physical attacks. The unbalance, even when you put effort evenly into both, is stark. This isn't to say magic is ineffective—far from it. But you will struggle to care about low damage spells early on, and probably not give it any second chance at all unless you're either forced to (Sophie is the natural mage & healer in the group and that's needed for enemy AOE spells—Protip: Dark Magic affinity IMMEDIATELY for the only AOE healing magic), you're trophy hunting, or you're as stubborn as I was to see what does and does not work in the game. It's a real shame to see a sizeable fraction of the battle system be outshined by its physical opposite so easily. I hope they won't do that in the future. That said, this is a solid title through & through. Pick it up, sale or no. You won't regret it.

Gameplay: Difficulty jumps drastically at times but that's just JRPG in general, system is good enough to not bore you 8/10 Story: Typical fantasy stuff, decent volume of contents. Around 8-10 hours of playtime to full clear on slightly easier difficulty. 9/10 H-scene: Good amount of high quality, uncensored animated scene. Also has built-in "manual mode" for practical use which is nice. The arts are really well done 11/10 Total: 9/10 Highly recommended. One of the best fantasy eroge I've played.

At a Glance (Adult) Content (F, FxM) sexual content. Censorship ]No. Woot! Woot! Hours of Gameplay Ten or more hours (supposedly). Modding Support? No. Patch Available? Download from official site. Island SAGA is a lewd RPG about a man's quest for fabled treasure, and four princesses' quest for his hand in marriage. A love pentagon, if you will. Gameplay Another lewd RPG, but with a nontraditional leveling system. You go from point "A" to point "B", collecting quests and grinding your way to victory. Every so often a dialogue or quest will lead to a lewd scene — lewd scenes are few and far between, a consequence of the length of the game. Instead of gaining "experience" and using "level-ups" to bolster your party's stats, your individual skills and stats get better through use. For example, if a character uses their bare hands to fight, they're bound to pick up a few tricks after they throw enough punches. Enemies scale to the player's stats, but if you find combat too tough you can always set the difficulty level. Story Before your journey begins, you must choose a name for the main protagonist. By default, his name is set to "Protag", so I think it's safe to say that's his canon name. Welcome Protag! Protag, the son of King Gultul, is to be married to one of King Bal's daughters. None of his daughters are privy to his hand in marriage. Unfortunately, King Bal has no male heirs for his kingdom. He needs at least one of his daughters to drop some babies — or risk the total annihilation of their home. Princess Iris agrees to marry Protag, but King Bal won't permit it — not until Protag proves he has the makings of a king. King Bal decrees that he must sail to Valentine Island, and seek the artifact "of true love", or the Love Rheid. King Gultul eagerly arranges for a transportation, as he hopes this artifact will help him and his wife fix their marriage. At least, that's what he tells Protag. (NSFW) Visuals The titlescreen says "lewd" all over — the first thing you'll see is a pack of busty waifus, provided the adult-patch is installed. If not, you'll be stuck watching clouds. Lame. From "Options" you can adjust a wide variety of audio, control and visual preferences. It's a bit unsorted, but certainly fleshed. For an RPGMaker title, I'm impressed. - The Goods - There's at least twenty CGs to unlock, each with a few variations and some with light animation. There are quite good — not quite top-notch, but top tier that's for sure. Each set of CGs comes with a brief sex scene, and in some cases, mild interactivity in the form of dialogues. Expect female nudity and male-on-female sexual intercourse. Verdict I recommend this game, if you like grossly-oversized boobies and want to try a different lewd RPG. Considering the amount of content, I think it would be reasonable to pay full price for this title. However, this is an RPG with lewd content — not so much a lewd RPG. Between three or four hours of playtime, I saw one lewd scene. Keep that in mind before purchasing this title. [url=https://wombattrap.com/review/island-saga/]To read the full review, click here. Island Saga, is an H-game about a prince and 4 very well-developed women who are in love with the Prince. These 5 individuals are tasked to go and retrieve a relic that will help the MC choose who he will marry. Now, allow me to talk about the game here. If you want the patch it is [url=https://remtairy.com/patch/#island-saga] right here. Gameplay. The gameplay focuses on 5 characters who can equip and use any type of magic. Now, I didn't stick with NORMAL difficulty as when I went to fight the Rat King, I saw how much damage I was doing and how much he did to me and realized that I was in danger. So I lowered the difficulty to Super Easy and decided there is more in life instead of challenging myself. Now allow me to talk about something that I found personally weird, which is that your characters do not actually lvl up within the game. After a certain amount of battles or turns or wtvr a character or all of them will have a specific stat or some stats and sometimes an equipment or magic lvl up if they used that equipment or magic enough. Which is weird because it gave me some serious FF 2 vibes, but that is okay because you don't have to have your characters get hurt in order to raise like vitality or hp. Other things to note gameplay wise is that chests do respawn unopened after awhile, which is nice. So if you are having trouble in something and you can't buy good equipment, then farm chests and hope for the best. You could get some choice stuff from it. Also did I mention that the protag looks like your typical hentai protag, which means he is Alpha as all fuck. He also barely talks, which comes off as relatable for some people if they barely talk. H-Scenes Honestly really is to get, as the H-scenes are rather straightforward and require no true galaxy size brain to acquire them. If you do feel like you are going to have trouble getting them all, then do check the game's folder as their is a hint for getting the town events. As for quest h-scenes, if you are lost then go talk to the cat near the guild hall. He will help give you some direction, or check the flowchart in the menu screen. But the H-scenes themselves are rather nice as they are all animated to a decent extent and are also fully voiced. Another note which is a spoiler btw. The true ending is rather nice as I am sucker to harem endings. How does the harem ending go about you may ask, well allow me to sum it up. You go to a mountain to meet some fairies, go to the future a little bit, kill this robot, go out and talk to Titania and tell her you did it, leave, and then talk to the Goddess of Love where she basically tells you you got the Beheliet and can do Griffith's life long dream happen. That's right! Kill all guys in the world and make yourself the sole male which allows every girls to want to fuck you. Or you can reject your humanity and stick with the same 4 girls you had on your journey and have an orgy with them in heaven for basically eternity from what I am seeing here. Use the beheliet to accomplish Griffith's Dream or Fill my heart up with 4 girls who will love me for who I am? Would I recommend the game? Yes, yes I would. Why would I recommend it? Because I am a simple man who is also a man of culture. So in short, I would recommend it buying it. Also on a side-note if you are having trouble at any point I would recommend checking their discord. I give this a Beheliet/10
