I love this game with a burning passion, fucking amazing vibes. For clarity and people who really mind this, there are NO jumpscares in this game (I'm like a stage and a half from completing it and it would surprise me if there were one just at the end or something). That being said, and these are "spoilers" there are some key moments in which this, sort of goofy tbh, thing will happen in which a silhouette will show up in the background crossing a corridor or something, in my personal opinion it's more annoying than creepy? But well to each their own. The rest of it all is pure gold. The level design is great, the ambients are amazing, some better than others maybe but I'm sure every player has its favorite. The backtracking gameplay loop might not be for everyone, I'm the sort of person that finds enjoyment when discovering how interconnecting the maps was done so I find it cool, but I can see people thinking you need to spiral a bunch around the stages to complete them, but hey, being there and vibing with the ambient is the whole point, so if you like that, you'll love this.

Basically a urban exploration simulator with incredible atmosphere. All this game is missing is the ability to make custom maps. 10/10 in my book.

Normally I don't like "walking simulators" because the gameplay is almost nonexistent, and what little is there is in service to some big story thing that I could just watch someone else play through, or read a synopsis. But Interior Worlds, while it lacks complex game mechanics, doesn't suffer from this issue. Mostly because what little story there is can be easily overlooked in favour of simply experiencing the world and taking fun pictures of stuff. My first playthrough, back before the Forest update, I took enough pictures to fill the photo album. I loved it! There were things here and there that I thought were lacking, but overall it was a very positive experience. Then AFTER the Forest update I played it again and was gobsmacked by all the lovely little additions! So much more to see and collect, tiny alterations to the familiar levels, and a whole new one with a lot of fun details to find! One of my original negative points was the photo ops didn't feel any different than taking pictures anywhere else, but that's been fixed in a brilliant, lovely little way. It's something I've wanted to see a game do since Pokemon Snap on the N64! But there is ONE issue I have with the game post Forest update, and it's that the secret stuff is sign-posted, making it far easier to find them, and I preferred it the old way. It was a lot harder to find the stuff, but it felt so much more rewarding when you did! I think the best choice would be to have it as a toggle, but it's a really small issue compared to all the good this game has in it. All in all, I highly recommend it. Well, as long as you don't mind the fact that there's no combat, no enemies, no real danger at all, and you just want to wander around some slightly spooky but ultimately peaceful environments. You shoot plenty of stuff, but it's not THAT kind of shooting, y'dig? I hope to see more content added, and more games in general from Sodaraptor. :3

It is exactly what it looks like. Or is it? One thing that surprised me about it was ṡ̵͉̓̅͒ȩ̷̛̭͐l̵̨̥͍̱̗͐̐ ̴̧̺̈́̃͘f̴̢̠̣̹̖̌̅͝ú̶̢̨̩͖ǹ̷̨̢͓͖͍t̸͕͌́͘̚ǎ̴̝̤͍ ̵̳̮̳̇̇͠k̷̤̘͑a̷̬̜̘̳̳̓̚͝ wait. I can't just spoil the surprise here, can I? It exists, and you'll have to live with this knowledge. What didn't surprise me was how the flavour of liminality was, as expected, quite American; particularly of the urban decay. Dead mall gothic and adjacent urbex stuff. Since I'm not from the US, the familiarity wasn't really there for me - and one level was downright cosy rather than scary. But that just points to what makes Interior Worlds interesting - the locations are all pretty varied, and no two places feel the same. There are a few common elements, but they're actually serving to increase the strangeness and perhaps even terror. And in spite of all that, the game is almost... relaxing to play? There's a strange, seemingly incompatible mixture of emotions when playing this. Curiosity, fear, calm and frustration. I'll talk about the frustration in a bit; but how can it be calm, you're probably thinking? Well, once you've comprehended the r̴̘̜̚ä̵̱́̅̈́á̶̞̦̮́a̵͇̗̓͜a̶̦̾͒ ̴͍͔͔̑͊̀k̴̪̱͈͂͗̃a̴͓̙̖̓̕ṡ̵͕ǎ̶̧̲̃͝r̴̂͜r̴̨̪̣̈́t̵̲̕'̴̨͊u̴͈̯̹̅̀a̶̲̮̣̎, there is this... stillness in the empty halls you're exploring. A feeling of peace. The places meant something, once; or perhaps they still do, but not at this time. And now, they're at rest. You're there to witness that rest. As for frustration: every mission has some optional secrets. Since they're secrets, there is no obvious way to find them. There are tells, but they aren't immediately obvious and you still will only be able to use see them when you're in the right place. And depending on the layout of the map, finding the right place can involve lots of walking in circles; especially in a certain level which happens to be a large open area. Oh, but they're optional! Why do you care? For one thing, getting all secrets is required if you want to see the final level - which I don't recommend, by the way. If that's your only reason, don't. However, this is a game about delving into the unknown and exploring the bowels of abandoned places! Finding all secrets feels like proper closure to the levels, being able to say "oh yeah, I've seen it all". But even then it turns out you haven't, because g̶̙̟̾͑ō̵̮̙r̶̫̽̑e̵͇̘͓̅̿͝n̸̐ͅ ̸̣͓͚̊̎̽b̶͉̃͆̈́a̸̛̱ֆʊʍǟ ̶̨̨̡̠͚͕̠̗̙͇̩̃̿̋̉͊̈́͜͝ͅt̸͈͙̰̖͍̹̜̘̖̰̣̼̰̥͋̂̈́́̉̚ͅā̴̧̡̟̯̲̫̼̠͔͇͑̈́̍͆̒̈́̀̃̕̕̚͝͝͝ͅͅs̵͓̰͖̥̜̫͔̣̮͎͔̃́̐̏͒͌̆͑̆̋͘͝O̸̞̲͓͈̰͚̞̻̿i̷͖̫̗̟̳̹͖̾̂͒̽̈̎̽̏̈́a̸̩̦̅̉̋n̷͇̻̱͔͚̓͒̽̅͋̃̄̈̀̂͋̀̇̂͘i̶̡̺̗͆̒̑̎̕͝ͅś̸̬͖͉͙̠͙͓̬̽̔ ßðmM So yeah. Do you want to explore some decaying Americana in a well-executed PS1 style, and take some moody pics while you're at it? Like I said before. What you see is what you get. It's exactly what it looks like. Or is it? [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/42922988/]Curator page
