After painful experiences of Star Citizen's new Master Mode, I've finally been saved.

After about 8 hours strait of playing even with the low population count, I can definitely say this is one of the most underrated space games. It’s has some of the best visuals of any space game (I’m on all epic at 200FPS) Every battle is unique with some similarities, there’s limited ships however they each can be fully customized through different weapons and upgrades, there is NO PTW aspects in this game. You have to earn the levels and the credits to buy weapons and upgrades. I may argue a decrease in price for the game would get more players in it, perhaps 19.99. All in all despite the very low player count this game even solo is still very fun and is honestly one of a kind on the market, if you like other space related games you will enjoy this game.

A surprisingly good game, as low profile as it is. Feels like a mix of Elite: Dangerous and Dreadnought (for those who remember that one). Controls are easy to learn and smooth. Battles are always a spectacle, and every ship class is fun to use. This is a game for those who love space combat, especially on a large scale. Even if you're the only one on a server, there is always a fun engagement around the corner. So much so, that if there are other players in game who aren't cooperating, their presence is negligible and might as well be bots. The bots themselves are competent, and won't let you get away with repeated cheap shots. As for the downsides, the cockpit UI is a little ugly, which is purely personal preference. The player base is also tiny, which makes me worry about the future of the game. Updates seem to come slow, but that's only after being spoiled by so many early access games that drip feed content. There is also a current lack of ship and module variety, with both factions using the same models - this being early access, I hope this to change. The tutorial system is still largely unfinished too, though this received a recent update. All things considered, the $40.00 USD price tag can be intimidating, but I feel like it is worth it as a space combat fan to support this game. As it is, its plenty fun. Catch it on sale if you are hesitant, but don't miss out.

Good Sounddesign, space battles are fun. Nothing to complain about it. One of the most underrated games here on Steam.

Brief review of my experience: Purchase this game with the expectation of it being a single player game despite the game being intended to be multiplayer. With this out of the way; The really positives: Treat this as a game where you boot it up for 1-2 hour or so, blow up some enemies, possibly engage in some capital ship gameplay and leave. You CAN play the game through the whole match but personally it gets really repetitive playing the game in one long sitting. The reason why this whole "boot up the game and do some boom boom's" works so well is because of satisfying combat and mechanics. Every single ship has destructible components that you can single out to weaken the enemy ship without actually destroying it. Every ship when at low health will have their internal components fail, such as HUD systems, targeting systems, guidance systems, propulsion failures etc. All these mechanics add up to a really satisfying kill, taking apart each enemy ship slowly and methodically --> take down shields destroy annoying guns --> keep shooting and laugh while they struggle to control their malfunctioning ship. Oh yeah, and the graphics are amazing, fires/explosions are fantastic, models are good, lighting is out of the this world. The AI really makes up for the lack of players, doesn't feel like you're fighting bots, You will die if you are stupid ============= The bad- Honestly I don't really mind the bad -REALLY low player counts, I've seen at most 6 people in the same server at once. -Repetitive gameplay loop: Defend - counter attack- repeat. -Kinda expensive sales happen though. TLDR: Play 1-2 hour anymore time in one sitting gets boring, gameplay itself is remarkably fun, things go boom. Despite lack of players AI will keep you challenge the whole time. Graphics are great, also doesn't require a 3080 graphics card, (I have a 1080 works perfectly). Repetitive gameplay loop past the 1-2 hour mark. Expensive when full price. =========================== For devs i guess, my suggestions. I wrote this review because the game has MASSIVE potential if devs continue on it. The devs could possibly convert the game into a single player game if that hasn't been mentioned before in the blog posts. turn it into a hybrid RTS/(FPS?). The game nailed the AI, have a human commander controlling budgets and base targets etc? would be a game changer for the players who are still playing. Once again i apologize if this has already been discussed, I don't read the blogs or whatever.
