Infernax is like if Castlevania 2 or Zelda 2 got juiced up on steroids, cranked to a R rating on the violence, and backed by a metal soundtrack all in the best ways possible. Multiple endings make replays worth it, and wither you go good or evil has gameplay changes to your spells and abilities. Not many games let you go the true evil bastard route, but Infernax does it well! This game has everything to be a long standing retro styled classic! 9/10

Played the game to completion with a free Gamepass code but felt so goddamn BAD about it that I went and bought the game on Steam Go play this

I bought this game and binged it while fasting for a colonoscopy. No regrets. It's fantastic. You should buy it so they make Infernax 2.

This is a great game in the genre. They captured the retro feel of a Castlevania experience while upgrading a lot of elements for modern sensibilities. It's unfortunate that you don't get more upgrades in the way of move sets for the main character, the spells and some techniques you get help make that better. You can also play different characters and variations of characters but for your whole playthrough. The best thing that really makes this an easy recommend is the coop play. If you've got someone to remote play together with, the game is a really fun time. A little RPG-lite couch coop enjoyment. The game also isn't super long so you could blow through different playthroughs in 5ish hours after your first playthrough that would take closer to 8 ~ 9 hours.

this could have been an easy 9/10 but their heavy reliance on insta death mechanics drops it to an 8. in the future please don't be lazy, being knocked off a platform to your death is boring/frustrating to the point of wanting to quit completely, especially when you have no checkpoints on levels that take 20-30 mins to complete.
