This game deserves ALL of the love! It has tons of characters and when you beat the normal game with a character, you unlock their story mode which means you get a unique story for each of the 20 or so characters. The writing is superb and there must have been hundreds of hours that went into the writing with a lot of thought! Not only are the stories excellent, the game play is satisfying and keeps me coming back for more. There are so many outfits, cards, abilities, and modes to unlock for such an inexpensive game! I would have gladly paid $30 (double the price) for the amount of content you get! I will be buying every single DLC that comes out based on the Puppetmaster DLC that they released. Plenty of bang for your buck! Overall, I give this 5/5 stars and plan to purchase more from these devs. Their hearts and souls went into this game and it is obvious that they care about the community. Well done!

What an enjoyable game. But I am a sucker for RPGs with Card games built into them. It does it so seamlessly. I'm glad they continue to update this game and are working on the DLC.

The worst thing about this game is that it's not slay the spire... But if that's the threshold game makers need to surpass to be a good game then there haven't been any good roguelike deckbuilders since.

Good rogue like deck builder with the Grammar of a grade school child. I assume it's translated because the descriptions of abilities are some times so badly written it's confusing. The story is also filled with bad spelling errors etc and even the Characters aren't even spelled the same. The playable character "Keely" is spelled "Qili" some times. Really odd inconsistencies like that add to confusion especially for card/ability descriptions. Still fun but feels cheap at times. Maybe pay someone to re-write some of the text.

I've been playing Indies' Lies since a few months after its initial release. Even in ver1.0, I thought this game was amazing; interesting team-based deck system with a better implemented "relic" system (the talents) than the game it took homage too. All that considered, some could say the initial release was a bit too Slay the Spire-esque, although I didn't really see it that way. However, with the game's numerous updates and the inclusion of the new mode -- Dragon Abyss -- Indies' Lies has so much going for it. And to make it more eligible, I'll list them out. 1) Team-Based Combat; improving on the cards in the different classes as well as reworks on character-specific cards, this game is even more fun than ever and one can play it whichever way you like. Solo, Duo, or full-house. 2) Difficulty System: The system before was very much like Slay the Spire, but this new system which is geared similarly to Heat in Hades, offers much more replayability and better scaling for your specific needs. The game starts off rather easy, but about every other progression with the Taint system typically imparts a spike in difficulty. I'm playing on Taint 99 (the max.) and finding it incredibly fun, still challenging, but frustrating in the slightest. 3) Bestiary: I could probably write a whole article on the bestiary alone, but the enemy variety is really outstanding. And over the course of development they really do feel like their own. Sure, some bosses take inspiration from other roguelikes but how they are implemented as well as the different mechanics at play makes them so interesting. I really cannot ever get bored because if I've exhausted my fun out of the bosses of one map, I can just rotate it out for another. While not everything is perfect, it has plenty to explore! 4) Class & Cards: I'll make this the last point I talk about as I'm already ranting on a storm, but each character feels truly special & unique. There's a total of 12 playable characters (minus story mode exclusives) and they all play differently. Sure, at first glance may attempt to discount this because each set of 3 characters belong to 1 of 4 classes -- which means they share the same pool of cards -- their various exclusives, special cards, and talents make each approach to the different classes feel different. While giving the player some familiarity with the card pool; in short, it alleviates the learning curve required. There's really so much more that could be talked about this wonderful game. I'm happy to say that I've played it twice as long on mobile than on here, and there's still so much content left for me to tackle on. This game is more than worth the price-tag -- so much so I bought this game thrice. I'd implore folks to give it a try if you love the roguelike deckbuilder genre, as it is sure to not disappoint.
