This game is 100% the sprit of Indiana Jones, and would have made a better movie than Crystal Skull or Dial of Destiny. Both of them were ok but this game is OG Indiana - humor, story, etc. Peak Lucasarts in the late 80s early 90s.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is a classic point&click adventure game, from the golden age of the genre. It feels like a missing Indiana Jones movie, bringing an exciting story full of adventure and mystery. Originally, the plot came from a rejected script idea for The Last Crusade, and it really shows in how the game feels like an official part of the series. The story is based on different myths and ancient history, especially Plato's ideas, as Indy races to find the lost city of Atlantis. Indy, of course, fights against the Nazis, and unlike in current times, no one questions that the Nazis are evil. The narrative feels true to the franchise, complete with lighthearted humor that doesn’t undermine its more serious undertones, building to an intense finale. The game’s characters, music, and art all help create a great atmosphere that feels true to the Indiana Jones world. One of its best features is that after certain point of the game, you can choose one of three paths. One is focused on action, one on puzzle-solving, and one on teamwork with your sidekick. The dialogue is sharp and funny and some of the puzzles involving both characters are well designed. Some puzzles vary with each playthrough, adding unpredictability, although a few cross into frustratingly obscure territory. Each path has its own challenges, puzzles, and even new locations, giving players a reason to replay and discover things they missed the first time. While most of the puzzles are fun, a few can be confusing or frustrating. Some puzzles are even randomized, which keeps things fresh. Overall, Fate of Atlantis is a well-crafted, thrilling adventure that perfectly captures the spirit of Indiana Jones. Play it instead of watching any Indiana Jones movie made after The Last Crusade.

This is one of the best point-and-click adventure games of all time. It has an original and memorable story, brilliant puzzles designs and charismatic dialog. If you're a fan of the genre and never played this, play it now! You don't even need to be a fan of the movies to enjoy this game. Also, play it without hints or walkthroughts, even if you'll be frustrated or lose patience - Dark Souls has nothing on the pain that we had back then. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3251855035

My god if this would've been the fourth Indy film. I finally had the opportunity to play through a part of my childhood not just again, but for the first time in its entirety. The story and characters are very well written, the music is superb, the voice acting is very well done and it’s brilliantly paced. Anyone who has a heart for this franchise and is not afraid of point-and-click adventures MUST go on this journey. „We meet again, Dr. Jones...“
