Just one single map. NPC animations from hell. NPC dialogue from deeper hell ("Do you have any water left?"). NPC intelligence like a banana. Assets that seem to be cloned from "Escape from Tarkov". Loot containers always on the same positions. And the cheapest weapons do the trick. It's all completely bonkers. And it's a hell of fun! I love it! I already spend several hours in this game, doing the same things over and over. And even in this early stage of development, I discover new mechanics and features in nearly every raid. And the best part of all this: No other players! Not one single high-skiller that is clearing out the whole map with his super-duper-high-skill-mega-gun. No 24/7 Twitch-streamers, who play all day long and gather level 5927 within 3 days. I can play this my way and in my own pace. And if I want to pause for a while, I don't loose track of the other player's levels and I don't have to wait for a wipe to start over again. That's exactly what I want, because I'm far too old, too slow and too much involved in my real life to gid gud in these multiplayer games. If the development of this game is cancelled tomorrow, then it would be very sad, but up to now I've had much more than enough fun for only 16 bucks. 25 hours up to now. In most CoD titles I had to spend more than 40 bucks and their singleplayer campaigns were finished after 3 hours or so. I'm really anxious about all the things to come in future. Devs, keep up the good work! And by the way: Do you have any water left?

Only played for about 6 hours now, however I maxed out one of the factions on Medium AI. I'll start off by saying that I absolutely love this game and the foundation that it has going for it. I am someone who has played EFT religiously and, end the little time I do get to play, very frustrated. As a new dad with a full time job I just don't find the grind as enjoyable as much as I used to. That is why this game will find a niche for people like me; who love the Tactical/Extraction FPS genre, but need something that respects the players time. I see a lot of comparisons to Grey Zone Warfare and this game. I will be playing GZW upon release, however this game differs from GZW with the stance on PVE only - again a niche for people like me who no longer have time to "Git Gud". For the review aspect I will start with the good then what needs added/improved. The Good: 1. Diverse mission system that leads to meaningful rewards. 2. Gunplay and movement feels polished and familiar. 3. Gun building is good fun and feels familiar, at the moment there is enough attachments to feel like you have options. 4. The map offered right now strikes a decent balance between walking simulator and firefights. 5. Some may disagree with me on this, but you don't need to eat or drink. There is no "energy or hydration", which I find to be refreshing. I'd rather spend time managing the situation of the battlefield or my loadout then having to worry about my diet. 6. The healing system is very simple, again, some may disagree, but I find this refreshing instead of needing to carry 6 different medical devices just in case I roll my ankle. 7. Lastly, there is a great foundation here for future updates and changes. With this being PVE only, the dynamic changes differently in this game compared to titles like EFT or even GZW. What I mean is that the all the attention on future updates can go in one direction, instead of having to worry about constantly nerfing the "Meta" or how an update will affect player to player interactions. What "I THINK" needs improved/added 1. Would like to see improved economy. I have too much money and have bought almost maxed storage. Maybe this is my fault as I should bump the difficulty up so I can be KIA/lose my things. 2. The map/AI is becoming too predictable. When traversing the map I know where enemies are pretty much going to be. I would like to see the AI patrol areas of the map. Maybe add Snipers to some of those towers to put the player in sticky situations. 3. Maybe there is a way to change this, but I notice that enemies will talk once you get close to them. Almost like they are giving you a clue that they are nearby. Maybe change this so it doesn't happen as much. 4. I would like to be able to rotate my head around while walking, like in Dayz or EFT. 5. This is nit picking, however I would love to be able to customize my character. Maybe add realistic clothes and realistic camo for weapons to help empty my in game wallet. 6. Some of the vests have spots to place grenades, however I don't think they are in the game, as I have not found one yet. 7. The challenges with the mission's are a great idea, as I really like the assassination ones. I feel the game will greatly benefit from having a variety of main missions, like making the assassination challenge into a mission almost like a terrorist hunt. 8. I understand this current map is set up in such a way that this would be difficult, but maybe in future updates, let us spawn where we want or maybe randomize different spawn points on the map. 9. Add prone. 10. This is obvious but add more equipment in future updates, like headphones, different armor and headgear. Like I said above, adding cosmetics isn't a 911 add, but it would really help with the immersion. All in all, I would recommend this game to anyone like me. Someone who wants a challenge and loves the extraction/looting/shooting genre, but with a more casual take. In my opinion, there is something special here and I can feel/see the vision of the developer. I will be supporting this game with any future paid content, as long as it is priced fairly of course.

Some of these reviews act like they're reviewing a $70 game. It's a $14 pre-alpha build, and the devs don't hide that fact. In it's current state it has about as much content as Tarkov did during it's first live build. It's pretty barebones, but there's more than enough here to have fun. Again, it's $14.

Let's not beat around the bush. This is Co-op Tarkov. And that's not a bad thing. People have been begging for singleplayer/co-op tarkov for ages, and the developer's wishy-washy mood on modding for singleplayer/multiplayer co-op being a bannable offense, It's nice to see a game just come out and give people what they've been asking for.....at least the startings of it. The game is in ALPHA. This is TRUE early access, not the BS publicty-beta people have been doing for years. This is a gamble. Your $15 isn't going to get you an endlessly replayable experience right out of the gate, it's going to get you a single level and a handful of guns to play around with modifying and the classic tetris-style inventory system that helped make Tarkov addicting (shoutout to my Re4 inventory sorting fans.). What's here is solid, and for an Alpha, it's reasonably optimized. Hanging around 60FPS, occasional dips but again, ALPHA. However, for $10, I'm willing to put a measure of goodwill forward and say that I think this has promise. Given the general quality of what IS here, I'm looking forward to new maps and modes especially.

Game is fantastic; even in this alpha state. Please do not add PvP to this! A PvE version of Tarkov is what we've all been wanting.
