The world itself breathes with psychological unease, each location reflecting the fractured minds of Desmond Wales' patients. The shifting, surreal landscapes create a dreamlike horror where reality and delusion blur, keeping players on edge. The unpredictability of the game’s scares enhances its immersion, proving that terror is most effective when it preys on anticipation rather than predictability. But what truly sets In Sound Mind apart is its soundtrack, composed by The Living Tombstone. Each song is an extension of the game’s emotional depth, transforming trauma into hauntingly beautiful melodies.The music doesn’t just accompany the story—it embodies it, making moments of fear and sorrow hit even harder. BRAVISSIMO 👌 It's been a long time since I've played a story-rich indie with the presentation quality of a big studio - this game is it! All around excellent This is a psychological thriller that will keep you digging for 15-20 hours, exploring themes of sanity, paranoia and psychology while keeping you engaged with first-person shooter action and some puzzle solving. It's a refreshing break from heaps of repetitive titles full of bad voice acting, asset flips and gameplay where you grind the same menial task over and over ad nauseum. No moment feels boring, dull or pointless. The gameplay feels solid, the music, sounds, environment and graphics all feel very solid too, There's not an iota of jank . The nitpick My only nitpick is that while the story is well put together and is presented masterfully , the final parts of the story feel a little bit rushed and a little cliche, in the sense that in the last hour or two a big revelation is dropped on you with massive implications, yet it is not really explored much deeper before you beat the game and the credits roll. So rather instead of a "to be continued" suspense it creates a bit of frustration or a slight disbelief. It feels like the final revelation in the story deserved some more time to explore before closure. TL;DR This is a solid 9.5/10 and well worth the money if you're looking for a 15-20 hour psychological thriller adventure. For the best experience go into this game blind. There is also some hidden things to find and see for completionists. There's a cat that you can pet.

So, I just wrapped up playing "In Sound Mind," and I’ve got to say, I’m buzzing with excitement. Normally, I don’t jump straight to reviews, but this game? I just can’t keep quiet. Spoiler-free zone, though, don’t worry. Imagine this: a game that perfectly blends thriller and horror vibes, with some satisfying combat and boss fights that hit that sweet spot of challenging without being frustrating. The environments are eye candy, the story keeps you hooked from start to finish, and the overall atmosphere is just… chef’s kiss. Oh, and the soundtrack? Absolute banger. "In Sound Mind" is a hidden gem that deserves a spot in your collection.

I didn't go in expecting such a solid narrative and enjoyable level design. Superb game and worth checking out, especially as the sale price is criminally cheap. It really does feel like a fever dream, in all the best ways.

first horror game I actually completed. Im usually too scared but this was really engaging and its spooky more than scary yet I did throw my mouse like 3 times.
