This game has so much potential. Sadly, it's been abandoned. In Silence is a really fun PvP game. You "can" play against an AI Rake, though the experience is rough at best. The best way to play is to have a group of at least 3 friends. You can tune the settings to weigh the favor depending on player count and skill level, so my group aimed for close wins that could last as long as possible. The maps strike a nice balance between being pretty big and having good memorability of key locations and landmarks. It can be a struggle to navigate at first since the compass isn't great though. Being on the human team is challenging. You have a lot of items to find and not a lot of inventory space. You have to be very careful with how you move and interact with the environment, since every action taken can be heard by the Rake (walking, running, opening doors, random noisemakers, talking, etc). Hiding can be tricky, but forgiving due the Rake's inherent lack of clear vision. This allows you to be creative with your interactions and hiding in order to deceive the monster into looking somewhere else. There is an armory crate on the map, but the way to find the code is so obscure that only really dedicated players can go for "kill the Rake" route. I never have been able to do this sadly, but the option is cool. The game does a really good job of making you feel like a threat when you are chosen as the Rake. Your screen looks like your wearing drunk goggles smeared with vasoline, but it's not entirely to impossible to see humans and objects. The point of the Rake is that you have incredible hearing. This is ingeniously manifested as a "sound compass". Anytime anyone makes a sound louder than breathing, a blip on your compass appears with the size of the blip indicating how loud / close the sound was made. You do have the ability to see clearly for a couple of seconds at a time every few minutes, but really need to learn how to make the most of those 2 seconds. All in all the cat and mouse game here is exhilarating to play. It does get a little repetitive after few hours, which can be greatly extended with more people and the fact that proximity chat is open to both humans and monsters. It just really sucks that this game won't ever get more content added. Honestly the core is so strong here, that I think a few more maps and gameplay mechanics would make this game soar. But as it is, I give it a 7/10. It's a solid 10 hours of some the most fun you can have with up to 5 friends.

The game had a lot of potential and if you have a group of friends to play this with, I think you should give it a shot since it's actually fun. But don't expect new content, it appears the game was abandoned.

you could also buy 34 freddos as they are 25p but this games pretty good. if its on sale its worth atleast 17 freddos so pick that sale up.

It's unfortunate the game doesn't get updates anymore, but the state it was left in is very playable, it's genuinely pretty fun and scary at times if you have a good group to play it with.
