The game is a ton of fun, from a chill and build perspective. Lots to do on the different campaign missions. After the campaign though there isnt a lot besides like setting up custom planets and challenges on single planets. I'd love to see something like an open world to play to. Like lots to do like the campaign but just from lots of planets and other corporations. Be cool to pick from multiple planets and sort of upgrade your corporations as you go. The visuals are pretty nice and not much for bugs or any crashes, A few annoying things like enemy city placement and no way to just like nuke them away and some other issues for how borders work but overall its pretty balanced.

I love this game. It is a strategy-based game which feel rare these days, and challenges me all the time. I found the campaign short but difficult in normal mode and feel it was great value for money. It works on my laptop with the same res settings as my gaming rig which is great as I get to play this while my partner plays RPG games on the rig. I am obsessed with fusion energy, planting trees of every variety in every part of the planet based on regional temperament. In addition I love taking over non-green competitors cities by hacking their stock markets and releasing propaganda. LMFAO

I enjoy games based around a zombie apocalypse but I don't believe this is something that could happen. It just happens to be a great setting for a game. I don't believe in aliens from outer space invading our planet but again, it makes for a great premise for a computer game. Climate change? I honestly don't know enough to have a properly informed opinion on the matter but regardless, I still think it makes for a very cool premise for a space colonisation game. I'd describe myself as somewhat sceptical on the issue but the game doesn't offend me on any level and neither does it try to push a message. However, if you are deeply offended by any of this, well, you're not going to like this game because you are punished for polluting the planet. With that out of the way, is it a good game? In my opinion, yes, it is. It's got a fair number of economy systems for you to manage as well as crafting, trading and diplomacy with your competitors. It's a bit like Offworld Trading Company with less focus on prices but more on the economy and managing the ecology of the planet you're on. It's a pausable real time game with several speeds available. You can set up builds and plan while paused so you're not frantically clicking to keep up at all. Graphically, it's a good looking game although it can be hard to locate certain buildings in your colonies once the game progresses. You build city districts, whether residential, parks, financial, medical, scientific or security which you can level up by having a certain number of adjacent district levels. You can research upgrades for all your structures to reduce their energy needs or to reduce the waste they produce, etc. You can also craft a wide variety of items at the workshop which will allow you to use some of the more advanced systems of the game such as surveying tiles for mineral deposits, blasting mountains or creating medicine. Upgrade your city centre and your borders expand by another ring. Or you can build frontier stations which will expand your borders as well as add improvements to them for defending your colony. They level up too. Or you can just flat-out buy a new tile but be warned, such tiles can be taken over by a competitor when expanding their borders. The campaign serves as a tutorial which introduces new concepts and technologies as it progresses. It does a good job of teaching you the skills you'll need to do well in the skirmish modes. There is a robust editor so that you can create a world to play on to your liking. you can choose which of several factions to play as, all of which have their own special 'powers' and there are also a number of worlds you can download from the Steam workshop so there's plenty of replayability once you have finished the campaign. A word of warning though - don't play the game on easy or at least don't judge your experience on it. The easy setting is fine for learning but is too easy for a serious playthrough. Play it on HARD and you'll get a much more challenging experience.

It's good! It has a slow start. At first I thought it was boring. By the 3rd campaign mission it starts taking off and I just finished the 4th one in a single sitting. I was glued to my screen. That said, it could be a whole lot better. The main issue is the game's UI. It depends heavily on icons which go unexplained (as far as I'm aware) and even 16 hours into it, there are still some icons I don't understand. Most I figured out by some context clues but many were not obvious even with those. There's also some clunky interactions with tiles, for example you can accidentally cancel an incoming trade ship by clicking in the center of the tile on the icon. Whoops, did that. It's clearly there for convenience instead of having to go through a menu, but it's also easy to do accidentally and I've done it several times. Another thing clearly meant for convenience is how there are multiple ways to place new buildings. You can click on the left-hand menu and then click on an empty tile, or you can click on an empty tile and then select the building, then select the new tile again. This was really confusing at first. There's other things like this in the UI too but this is the most obvious. It would be better for there to be one way to do these things, not multiple. Ergonomics aside, the game really gets fun a few missions in and I'm looking forward to the rest of the campaign!

I love how much the devs love their own game. This is the type of development company I wish were more common; such attention to detail, continuous updates and improvements, very polished game. I would gladly purchase DLC's just to help keep their updates coming. Will be fun to keep watching this game evolve. Thanks for being awesome, dev team.
