Comentario Analítico: "Ib" (Remake) En 2012 estrenó Ib, un juego gratuito de aventura y puzles elaborado por medio de RPG Maker 2000, tratándose del proyecto debut de Kouri (こうり) y uno de los mayores exponentes del horror lúgubre derivados de dicho motor. Tuve el honor de pasármelo el año próximo a su lanzamiento y siempre lo conservé muy alta estima, fue uno de los primeros juegos de este estilo que jugué, junto con Yume Nikki y Ao Oni. En 2022 estrenó un remake de la mano de PLAYISM, modernizado por medio de RPG Maker MV y actualizado en términos visuales, musicales y mecánicos, algunos puzles fueron reorganizados en pos de notarse más intuitivos y ahora es posible dialogar con Garry y Mary en cualquier momento. Estrenó sólo en Japonés, y a los pocos meses llegaron los demás idiomas. Se sigue conservando como un clásico atemporal, uno de los mejores juegos de su tipo. Alberga una mística propia de fábula y sorprende por cuántos finales de tantos tipos contiene. Destaco muy positivamente a Garry, el juego hace todo lo que tiene en sus manos para plantearlo como un sujeto que se esfuerza por conservar la compostura frente a Ib pese a encontrarse claramente desorientado, está muy bien caracterizado. Tomó años, pero poco a poco estos clásicos van llegando a Steam! Pronto (Este 2025) publican OFF en esta plataforma. Faltan varios aún, espero ver en el catálogo a Mogeko Castle, Hello...? Hell...o?, Mermaid Swamp, Forest of Drizzling Rain (Kirisame), Re:Kinder y Peret em Heru - For the Prisoners-. ¿En conclusión? 🌹 Este juego hizo escuela. 🌹

As someone who has fond memories of playing the accessible version of Ib about ten years ago, I was over the moon once I heard it was released on Steam. This horror visual novel about Ib, a little girl caught in the illusion of a museum alongside Garry, surprised me with its engaging storyline and appealing characters. The game conjures an exciting world that one would very much like to explore, to unlock the said world's mysteries, and also to understand its history. Ib, Garry, and Mary themselves bring layers to the story, making each interaction meaningful and every session of solving the different puzzles satisfying. Even though the puzzles might prove somewhat problematic, they continue to balance not being too challenging to complete and allowing a good gameplay experience. "Ib" is a game that is going subtle on horror: no sudden scares, no overpowering gore. Instead, it builds up that feeling of unease and fear as the story progresses. Creepy encounters with disturbing artwork and the strangeness of the museum keep players on edge without giving away cheap thrills. The Steam version of "Ib" is updated with several enhancements that make the overall gameplay experience better. With better graphics and dialogue screens, up to the ability to talk to the game's companions whenever you like, these editions help make the game more immersive and further aid one in building a stronger bond with the characters in the game. Sometimes, the puzzles change; generally, the changes favor better game mechanics, yet some classics may upset die-hard enthusiasts. This is a vital aspect of the game that raises feelings while it raises introspection. I had an episode of depression at that time, which brought many thoughts to the fore concerning love, loneliness, and time. The moving soundtrack, which I still listen to for inspiration, further added the depth of emotional experience while playing the game. In the end, "Ib" is more an artwork than a horror game; it resonates profoundly and stays beautifully created for the ones who get to partake in its enigma. Be you picking it back up again after years or new to the experience, this is a journey well worth taking, one that will stay with you long after you finish playing. Also, it might be a bit controversial, but I totally loved Mary as a character and the 'Together Forever' ending is definitely my favorite one <3

Ib is an RPG maker game about a girl who visits an art museum with her family and ends up in another reality inside the paintings. The game itself has a compelling story and as a remake surpasses the original game. If you like playing RPG maker games, that involve lots of puzzles, wholesome storytelling, and slight hints of horror. I'd say it's your type of game and recommend it.

I remember playing this game when in 2014, on my old pc when i was a 10yo child playing this after school during a rainy autumn afternoon, was one of the most comfortable experiences i've ever had and since then this game always was one of my favorite games of all time, playing and replaying almost 10 times, doing all the endings, screenshoting stuff to use as my pfp on skype or discord in 2018 Now i'm replaying one of my favorite games of all time and the experience still the same as 2014. I still love this game so much, and still giving me the same comfy feelings of playing a chill RPG Maker game in a rainy afternoon 11/10 Perfect
