Wayne wakes up one day and decides to go on an adventure... this adventure is Hylics and it's one I'd recommend you join him on.

One of the most unique RPGs I've ever played. Structure-wise, it has the same story beats as most other RPGs (wake up one day, find your friends and kill god), but it's presented in such a captivating way, it'll stick with you long after the acid trip is over. Everything it offers, from the soundscape to the randomized text, sets up such a bizarre, alien vibe to it all, and yet, it feels so familiar as you make your way through the different areas. There's genuinely nothing quite like it. Most people probably skip over it in favor of the sequel's graphics, but for three bucks, it can't be beat.

A game that i didn't know i needed. Everything feels empty and soulless. Everything is in harmony, yet in total chaos. As death isn't something to worry anymore, you never fear losing, yet you never feel safe. What is this world? Who is Wayne? A sort of god? Maybe. Who seem to care in this game. What even are they talking about? Who is "Her"? I guess i'll get the answers in Hylics 2. A must if you like weird indie games

This game especially considering it's price is absolutely worth it. This is a very 'artsy' game but has more to it than just that. I'm personally not a fan of this type of art, don't get me wrong the art is amazingly done but it's just not my cup of tea. Reading about the game I had the impression the unique and trippy art style and presentation of the game were the only thing it had going for it. So going in I was kind of hesitant. I started off very confused, so just started exploring and clicking whatever I could and finding weird items and I weirdly enough found myself hooked that quickly. I just wanted to explore and see more of this world and work out what it is I am even doing. I was then pleasantly surprised to find out it actually has interesting and enjoyable combat and party mechanics and a few neat RPG elements. Ended up just having a great time and beating it in one sitting. Game does not overstay its welcome, it's just a great time for a really good price. Highly recommend.
