This was a fun game with decent puzzles to contend with. It felt like a refreshing spiritual successor to games like lemmings but with a richer tone and some philosophical subjects thrown in.

Modern lemmings? If that sounds at all like something you'd enjoy, play this game. If you don't know what lemmings is... I'm too old to describe this game to you in a compelling way. It's puzzles. Good ones.

This game is really just... so wonderful. A Lemmings-style game where you, as a little glowing dog, lead a (sometimes) never-ending army of humans as they march to your commands (often to their doom). Solve puzzles, which sometimes involve fighting, sometimes involve blocks, and sometimes involve giant glowy gold people. There's also a level editor with a ton of user-created levels that can be accessed in-game, so that's a plus.

Sokoban meets fluid dynamics simulation, but with people. Positives: - Having this many people walk along paths or float though the air is awesome. It's like watching an ant colony but way way cooler. - The puzzles are varied in their mechanics, and overall they have a nice progression that is not just "the same but more difficult". - The skins which can be unlocked from optional tasks (Goldies) are actually quite fun. This also makes the Goldies a bit more valuable rather than just being the more difficult task that makes the game enjoyable. Neutral: - Replaying a stage can take quite a while, even with keeping the commands and at 2x speed. - Every person is sort of doing their own thing and there are hidden forces that keep a group together. This can make the game rather imprecise. Sometimes 1 person gets pushed off their path by the group, changes direction and you have to restart the stage. Negatives: - Depending on your artistic preferences, you may either call this "music" or "incomprehensible noises". - The platforming is a bit unnecessary. You might as well put in the commands by just clicking on a tile with the mouse. Moving around with the dog makes the game even more imprecise because you can fall off the stage and the placement of commands depends on the direction you are facing.

Humanity is truly a work of art. Humanity (the game) much like humanity (the biological species) exhibits vast diversity, endless creativity, and is at times beautifully arresting. This gem of a puzzle game is a joy to play, each trial thoughtfully constructed to push users to think in a non-lineral manner. The visuals, and accompanying soundtrack, are appropriately trippy and trance-like. My favorite levels are the ones which have water features - watching a never-ending stream of humanoid bodies swim by like a school of fish is mesmerizing. The game does a great job of gradually revealing new tricks and mechanics to meet the ever increasing challenges of the next trials. Anyone who thinks that video games can't be art needs to see Humanty's throngs of low-poly crowds throwing elongated shadows cast by a low light source, or unending waves of bodies hurling themselves into oblivion... Then take some time to examine that obviously incorrect belief they hold. Humanity is a "must play" for anyone who loves great puzzle and/or trippy & psychedelic games.
