You all still here, nearly ten years later and still no third game, and you want to know why? It is a best game and will forever be, after all, there will be no third game. Play it yourself and see way.

Okay, plot-wise this game is... interesting. It's simultaneously a sequel, a prequel, and a midquel to Hotline Miami 1. It details the backstory of this universe concerning the Hawaiian Conflict that led to the formation of the Russo-American Coalition (Beard's levels), while also expanding on certain aspects of the first game's plot (Jake and Richter's levels), and of course, showing the aftermath of Jacket's rampage against the Russian mob (The Fans, Manny Pardo, Evan, and the Son's levels). Through its scattered presentation, the game tells a very compelling, very dark story about violence, vengeance, nationalism, and how pointless and destructive all three of these are. Then there's the presentation itself. Sound design and graphics are very neat. The gameplay is still gloriously violent and difficult. At times, its more difficult than the first game, and will absolutely be frustrating at times, but completing a level or segment is still very satisfying. And of course, the soundtrack is just as amazing as the first game, if not moreso. Overall, if you liked Hotline Miami 1, I definitely recommend playing this game.

It's really awesome game, but it made me hate Russians, Colombians, dogs, big black men, police officers, Soviet soldiers, gang members and every enemy that fueled my rage by killing me.

Hot take: This is better than the first game, which is saying something. Much like with the first game I wish the really powerful story wasn't told you to by Christopher Nolan while high on mushrooms and I didn't have to watch like eight YouTube videos to figure out what was going on, but the gameplay easily carries that confusion on its back and replaying this game while understanding what's actually happening is an experience you shouldn't miss.
