Game description matches the experience. The puzzles are fun and the challenge is mostly minimal. The later puzzles require several steps and planning ahead, but most puzzles can be completed in just a few minutes. I completed all of them in less then 2 hours, but the game is priced accordingly.

Short, sweet, and incredibly satisfying. Hook delivers an elegant puzzle experience that’s both challenging and calming. The minimalist visuals and smooth mechanics make it a joy to play. It’s the kind of game you can finish in one sitting, but you’ll enjoy every second of it. Highly recommended for puzzle lovers!

TL;DR 8/10 Simple rules and controls with minimal/abstract visuals and complex puzzle design. Wish there was just more of it. Positives + Easy to understand. + The game really takes your brain to somewhere else with it's music, sound design and visuals. + Puzzle quality is amazing and delivers with every level. + Value for your money. Negatives - The mechanic "After failing X times, reset level and start all over" is at times frustrating when you accidentally do something wrong and you have to repeat exact same moves all over again due to the level being reset. - A "one and done" where you get roughly 2-4 hours of puzzles. - Replay value is not there. Other than "you can replay the levels". Easy recommendation for those who want to relax after a long day of work, school etc.

I use to slightly dislike this game, it wasn't bad or anything but the first 50 level are only mere observation path rather than puzzle to solve. But since then the dev added 20 or so level and they actually represent a small challenge. Which is good enought to me.

Hook , as with every other games from Maciej Targoni , achieves taking a simple concept or idea and making something unique and enjoyable out of it. The mechanics of the game are intuitive, and each time a new mechanic is introduced, it is done in a clear, clever, and understandable manner. The levels slowly increase in difficulty — more than with some of his other games — yet they remain within a casual range, without becoming too dauntingly complexe or time consuming to solve. The visual aestethics of the game are clean, minimalistic, and of high quality. The light/dark mode is an extremely valuable feature. The sound design of the game is excellent, and creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Hook is the first game from Maciej Targoni that I have played, and for me personally, it evoked the satisfying feeling of successfully untangling headphone cords. I am glad that this game made me discover a talented game developer, and I highly recommend his collection of puzzle games. Hook is overall a high quality, unique, and enjoyable puzzle game, and remains one of my favorites in terms of gameplay, sounds and visuals amongst the games from Maciej Targoni .
