The fact this isn't an eroge is criminal. I LOVE THIS GAME. The concept is very creative and I found the combination of visual novel, point&click and deciphering gameplay well balanced and highly entertaining. The artstyle portrays the gory horror aesthetic and setting really well, by including a great variety of CGs and backgrounds. The atmosphere can be genuinely creepy and gross, yet also shift into an incredibly wholesome direction, without neglecting the horror elements. The story tends to be rather abrupt at times and leave questions open, however its complexity surprised and intrigued me! The beginning is mostly linear, but eventually the plot offers a solid amount of branching and depth. Admittedly, I had trouble grasping some reveals/hints of the mysteries while playing and looked them up later, but to be fair the explanations are often rather brief and subtle lol. Regardless, I found myself immersed and enthralled by the story all along and have even gotten emotional at several occasions. Though one of my biggest highlights are the characters; Besides their striking appearances, I find it impressive how despite such a limited vocabular, each character (including the less relevant ones) gets presented with a distinct and expressive personality, without ignoring their "monstrous" nature. Everyone is seriously terrifying but additionally so fun and charming, I would've adored it if they all got a personal route and ending(s). The protagonist is pretty funny too and I like that the writing got creative with her character as well. In short, lovely game! LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE MR CRAWLING

I just spent the entire day on this game, it's so weirdly wonderful. If you're a stupid idiot like me the games really helps with giving nudges towards words and it has. so. much. content. that it never really gets repetitive. But as I mentioned I am a stupid idiot so the story got low key confusing and convoluted at times. Low IQ girlies play with caution, but it's a really fun time.

This game is a bit like traversing an urban Jim Henson's Labyrinth with less whimsy and more gore (and less David Bowie, sadly). Only the urban legend inhabitants of this labyrinth don't conveniently speak English and they have a pretty flawed understanding of human limitations. Despite the game's store page going heavy on the 'Romance' designation, the romance in this game is pretty minimal and understated (but strangely wholesome). What it has more of is content -- you're unlikely to discern all of the language or find every possible scene, route, or ending in one playthrough. You won't know what the hell you're doing the grand majority of the time -- the game does very little to hold your hand and guide you outside of occasionally throwing you a bone with a word translation. Sometimes you need to act in order to get a good outcome, other times you need to do nothing -- you probably won't know until you've done the wrong thing and gotten killed. You'll likely get killed a lot , but the game lessens the frustration of this by taking you back to the exact scene you were in to try again. Sadly, the developer has apparently ceased producing their planned content for this game due to fan harassment. In a world where people don't act like savages to content creators with an online presence, this game would've gotten more love. Achievements and trading cards would've been a fun addition, but alas! All in all, this is a eerily cute game with many things to find and puzzle out. Have fun, try to stay intact, and be nice to Mr. Crawling! ♥
