Pros: +Great story +Spooky atmosphere +Ratri Cons: -Some parts drag on for way too long to the point of boredom -"Combat" is pointless and frustrating -Controls are very stiff and, at times, completely unresponsive I really enjoyed the first entry for Home Sweet Home. Although very short, it was an intriguing and very effective horror game with genuine scares, fantastic atmosphere, and good story. The second episode is a fine follow up that does a good job continuing and concluding Tim's journey as he searches for his missing wife Jane, but it has several bumps in the road that make it a more tiring and aggravating experience. The controls feel more stiff than the first game. Movement seems slower and the run button doesn't work half the time. Tim randomly slows down and lurches while moving and it got very annoying throughout the game, especially when trying to maneuver around enemies or escaping encounters with stalkers. At times I would mash the run button in vain hoping Tim would finally get the point and run like a normal human being chased by Thai horrors would. Combat should have not been implemented at all because it is clunky and pointless. I won't put too much about it because some of it borders on spoiler territory, but paired with Tim's already sluggish movement, it's almost impossible with the hordes the game throws at you and a weapon that does almost nothing. The spikes they give you, similar to Resident Evil's defense weapons, are so rare to even see that theres no point in even picking them up. If you're going to discourage combat, then don't even put it in the game. About a third through the game, sections start to drag on for far too long. It's really just one spooky set piece after another, but they never end. The final chapters of the game stretch out for so long I started just running (when I was allowed to) through everything just to speed it up and just begged for it to end. Maybe that was the point, and if so, good f@#$ing job devs. At least we got Ratri. Far and beyond the best part of the game. A delightfully terrifying and sadistic character that had me wrought with fear and panic during her section of the game. Honestly, she should have been the primary antagonist. The latter half of the game is when it truly started to turn into a slog and I really didn't care or was intimidated at all by the main villain. Overall, I did enjoy the conclusion and the story was still a great experience. The developers should have stuck to the formula from the first game and avoided all the combat and unnecessary padding. If you played the first episode, the second is worth it for the resolution to Tim's journey.

Great game, super scary and intense with lots of unique monsters based on Thai folklore. The combat, the few times it happens, can be sluggish but the developers had the right idea to force the players a minimal amount of resources to fight the spirits. Home Sweet Home EP2 builds and improves on the first game, focusing on its unique cultural aspects.

The game is put together perfectly. The graphics are decent but the gameplay mechanics are very impressive with no bugs or glitches. The story of the game is based in thailand, and it's very unique to say the least. Story is detailed and quite scary. Small and sweet game. Nothing complex in the game and very interesting pov. I enjoyed playing this game a LOT. Cannot wait for EP3 of home sweet home.

Home Sweet Home: Episode 2, despite being classified as a horror game, left me with a feeling that the horror atmosphere dwindled compared to my expectations, particularly when reflecting on Episode 1's more pronounced scares. The game does have its share of minor bugs and glitches, but they don't significantly detract from the overall experience. In Episode 2, developers introduce more choices for the main character when confronted with ghosts or other creatures, adding an extra layer to the gameplay. If you enjoy engaging with the supernatural, this game may be a suitable choice. However, if you prefer a more straightforward cat-and-mouse experience, it might not align with your preferences.

This is a great horror adventure that gradually builds up, providing something unique and exotic in terms of environment, language and culture surrounding both the characters and the story. Highly recommended for horror fanatics.
