fun fast paced retro shooter with levels short enough that they dont feel draining. My only gripe is it tries to feel like a movement shooter; but in reality it's a cover shooter since the enemies shoot hitscan and are extremely punishing without jiggle peaking constantly.

Short and sweet, fun art style, and good soundtrack. Took me about 3 hours to get all the achievements, would definitely recommend if you can get it on sale.

I've revisited this game quite a bit over the years. The core gameplay loop is easy to learn but hard to master. To this day, I still find myself having to take a more cautious approach to combat most of the time rather than going into a room guns blazing. I like the psychedelic minimalist art style here. The best part of this game in my opinion has to be the soundtrack by Doseone. This is a short but sweet FPS that I'd recommend especially to Hotline Miami fans. Just one issue that I have here (spoiler for the final boss); As some other reviews have already pointed out, the bosses in general are not one of the stronger areas of this game, but my least favourite boss is definitely the final boss. I would even go as far as to say that the final boss is my least favourite part of the entire game. The first phase can be a little bit overwhelming at times but really isn't that bad once you get the hang of it. Just shoot down the homing missiles and pay attention to the lasers and you're golden (crouching under the lasers will usually work when you aren't running up the stairs). The second phase is where problems arise. You have to shoot the boss in his blue eyes which will cause one of his yellow eyes to open. Next, you have to shoot the yellow eye and then repeat the process a couple more times. The problem here is that the eyes are quite difficult to hit due to being relatively small targets. The blue eyes in particular have some pretty wonky hitboxes (The hits don't seem to register at all at times). To make matters worse, the bosses hands are constantly getting in the way. The boss also has an attack where he claps his hands together which is quite difficult to avoid. Overall, if you are eyeing this game, I would recommend getting it on sale.

fun & cute little shooter, fast paced, super simple. if you're not into speedrunning you probably won't replay it, so the full 10 bucks for about an hour of gameplay might be a bit much. on the other hand the loading screens are already worth the money
