This game shows the vibrant streets of New York City. it's very detailed and has colorful scenes featuring locations that are very noticeable.

I liked Hidden Cats in New York a lot. The main level was the best. The colored areas for parts where all cats have been found are visually pleasing and make for a good mechanic. Some of the extra levels had few funky hideouts for the cats - especially ones where I clicked the specific area once or twice but did not reveal the cat until I used a hint to find it at the very same place I had checked before. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say. Recommended!

The best video game about cats I have ever played, so much fun and so chill too

So it took me about three hours to finish this game, however that is not a bad thing! This was so fun and relaxing that I went ahead and bought the rest of the packs. Sometimes it is nice to have an easy game that does not take a lot of concentration. My favorite part of this game is how you can unlock bonus levels by playing on the harder difficulty (I recommend that in order to get more game play) and I also like how when you are working on the first level, it slowly starts to color in the picture as you find all the cats in the area so you know that you did not miss any :) love this game!

The Hidden Cats series began in early 2022 and so far 6 episodes have been released. The locations where we have to find a lot of cats are (mostly) based on existing cities. Now, we are looking at the one taking place in New York . It wouldn't be this city without famous monuments. For instance, the Liberty Statue can be found with some cats hanging on it. Not far from it is the Empire State Building with the cat version of King Kong on top it. This is one aspect of the game that I liked - these small, hidden references to various films or TV shows. If you observe attentively the cars passing by at the bottom of the screen you can recognise the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters or the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo . What I love about this series is how small sections become completely colored once all cats are found. So, you start out with everything being monochromatic and as you make progress New York gradually gets back its colours. There is an advanced mode available with more cats to find along with special cats that open up indoor locations. The city has 200 cats available while indoor levels have a number ranging from 50 to 100. The advanced mode also wants us to look for citizens of New York. Only 4 can be found at a time and their portrait is visible at the top of the screen. Apart from the famous spots and hidden easter eggs the ambient is great as it reflects the screen / part of the city we are looking at. I would not call this game difficult - quite the contrary as it is very relaxed. Oh, the indoor locations follow the same concept - find all cats to make everything colourful. I'm convinced that the café is a reference to Friends while the sewers takes us back to the '80s when many of us were watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . Here, mostly everything is static but some cats require interactions with some objects (for instance, clicking on a box to open it). A short animation is always visible so we know where to find the most hidden pets. Overall, this is a great HOG and it is on par with the rest of the episodes in the series. I only miss the pop-up cards once a monument becomes fully coloured. In Rome these give us information on the famous location that we have just reanimated . It should also be noted that the hinting system gets more and more hints available as a reward for finding more cats (or perhaps the emphasis is on the special ones only). When everything has been found we are still 100 cats short from the 850 achievement. You just need to replay the basic mode once more to have everything unlocked. Highly recommended! Fun and relaxing little game this is.
