At first, I honestly wasn't sure how I'd feel about this game after reading some of the reviews, so I played it safe and decided to wait for it to go on sale. Now, I have 27 hours on this game and absolutely love it! The cards are very cute, it's not overly complex, and it keeps me engaged. More importantly, I feel that every run is different, even when I play on the same difficulty. To be frank, I find myself having more fun playing on the harder difficulties, with the major trade off being that runs take me about 1-2 hours, whether I win or lose. The only negative pieces of feedback I have for this game, are 1: The lack of level variety and creativity and 2: The Game Guide doesn't seem to go into depth about card abilities and their impact. There are general descriptions sure, but it would be nice to have some visuals explaining how each one works with a bit more context. All in all, this game is hands down a gem in my library and I hope they continue to release updates for it with more cards and abilities!

Played like 14 hours when game first came out. thought it was really good and then took a break. just came back to see the changes and updates and im really happy seeing the work put in and the direction this game is going it. money well spent!

Fun game, definitely recommend, and the more you play it, the more you realise what the designers are trying to do with the game, I definitely appreciate the game much more than at the beginning. [Comments mostly for hard mode] Things that could be better 1. The mid game is too reliant on luck and the end game is too easy - if you get past the mid game you can't lose 2. Most characters are unplayable/there will always be a better alternative 3. Some items and their costs make no sense 4. The second character needs too much deck manipulation - I get the idea, it's decent game design, but it's just not fun. For example, forget to press the button that keeps your hand and you find yourself discarding it all 5. Undoing some actions would be useful. If you missclick when you select a character you're stuck with it Tips: 1. Be very, very selective with the characters that you pick 2. In the early game, combining does much less than what you expect One major bug: 1. Sometimes Continue doesn't work, so you basically have to start over - very annoying

In general, the game certainly has potential. What has left me amazed is the art and animation. All the cards are very well designed, and each one has a distinct animation. Those are the positives. The downside is that the game is in a very early stage, even for early access, with minimal content. The worst part is that the developers seem not to have grasped the concept of roguelikes, as the runs are not procedurally generated. Instead, each run is the same with identical paths, enemies, events, and bosses. There is a point where you choose between two paths, and each of them has three battles with the same enemies, leading to the same point every single run. Is this some kind of joke? There is also no progression system AT ALL. You lose, you start again.. thats it. Everything is unlocked from start.. you could beat the game on the first run. Unfortunately there is no way to give feedback to developers either. So thumbs up for potential i quess..
