I cannot recommend this trilogy enough, especially this conclusion and the Heaven's Gate visual novel. It's unique and truly special to me, but absolutely crushing at the same time.

The perfect epilogue, the perfect prologue. The end of the childhood of someone who finally got to have her own. The beginning of someone's free existence in a world unlike her original. Two girls who realized the horrid truth of their own existences, and the sorrow and apathy they felt. One man, one life, the father who loves them all. And then there's you.

"I Can only hope that this story was able to reflect the feeling of desperation and hopelessness over losing someone... And despair for inability to bring them back no matter what." i felt it etharane, i felt it.

A perfect blend of the more narrative focused storyline of Episode 2, alongside the puzzles and ambiguity of Episode 1, only done much better. Much like Episodes 2 is can be described as beautiful and tragic, but this adds the horror, dread, and utter unnervingness of Episode 1. That is to say this game is the best parts of the previous 2 games, and a lot more meta as well. I highly recommend giving this, and by extension the rest of the series a shot.

I think I first played this game trilogy around the time this game was released was released, so around six years ago and i think it genuinely changed the trajectory of my life. I was still a teenager, my English was okay-ish at best and i was going through a lot at the time. Playing this game made me feel seen and heard when no one else did, it just got me. It inspired me to create my own stories, it inspired me to keep going because i wanted my own stories to be told. I cant say the impact was all positive unfortunately, but i think that's just how it is when tackling mental health issues in media- sometimes you end up picking up a bad habit and that's just how it is. Replaying it now it still had just as big of an emotional impact as it did when i first played it. Im doing miles better now, but seeing experiences that are so similar to mine shown in such a raw and honest way made me feel seen and heard all over again, just like six years ago. its just, i dont know, i dont think anything i write here will truly convey just how much love i have for these games. i dont know if this review is very helpful, but i very much recommend this game along with the other hello charlotte games. these games inspired me to keep going and thats worth something i think.
