Basically Super Mario Sunshine with better level variety, traversal mechanics, characters, LMGs, and a sense of humor that will land more for some than others. Movement's crisp and responsive. Exploring the non-linear hub worlds is constantly surprising and rewarding. So far I've found a Lovecraftian fish people town, raided Scarface's mansion with an LMG, trekked through sewers to free nasty blob people from Nazi officers made out of literal poop. The game just prioritizes fun and it shows. 10/10 Gameplay. Your mileage on the humor may vary.

It's like a deranged 3D Mario game, but the platforming and camera controls are better in Hell Pie than they are in Mario. Fun skill tree to expand your abilities & enjoyable trying to explore the levels for secrets. I did fall through the wall in the pipe restaurant several times, but other than that I've not noticed any other bugs or glitches.

Hell Pie has easily become one of the best 3D platformers I've played. This game's strongest point is its personality, as it features plentiful visual and dialogue-based comedy. It's not the longest game, but there's a lot of content to keep players busy. I've had a lot of fun zooming around levels with Nugget's movement features. Hell Pie is not without its flaws, however, as the controls tend to be awkward on controller. I've been told to press incorrect buttons by the menu, and have had to figure out the correct inputs for myself. I have also found myself unable to aim weapons outside of mouse & keyboard.

Criminally underrated platformer game. Very fun, unique, and in depth platforming mechanics. Didn't care for the humor much, but it was easy to look past to see a great game. I wish there were more games like this
