The game was inspired by Pokemon, but is not a creature collector. It plays much more like a classic RPG in which a maximum of 5 characters fight at the same time. A special character can be played during the game (for a few rounds) with different types (e.g. earth, shadow...). The dungeons are usually very linear. Some paths are blocked and only accessible with a certain character in the game. The game is easy to play on the Steam deck. The only annoying things are the occasionally flickering backgrounds and the fact that achievements are only displayed in-game.

As the pros: Very good 2d sprites, I mean top notch kind of graphics, Pokemon vibes all the time, A little depth in creating of strategy, Comfy game Cons: In normal/hard fights are merciless (look at first fight with cerberus) Unbalanced in a lot of places in game IMHO I win this game on easy and I very like it, but I always wondering how it would looks like better if difficulty would be more re-thinked. Still I think you would like not miss this position if you like the aesthetic/a little game which inherit a thing or two from pokemon. Even with some problems you would have fun. Plot is cool but is like a tenaage pokemon story with a lot of friendship and stuff.

+ well-written dialogues, a pleasure to read + linear but exciting and vibrant world, a pleasure to explore + multiple characters having actual personalities + Pokemon-like battle mechanics, but with various twists and improvements + issues that make the Pokemon world morally questionable (like owning sentient creatures, or making creatures fight each other) are addressed head-on in this game, not ignored + vocally anti-trans dev - one specific type of puzzles is quite a downer - the music gets repetitive after a while All in all, a gem.

The game is very relaxing. It has the atmosphere of a Pokemon game, the music is nice, the art is very cute and colorful, and the story is fun.

Transphobic dev Edit: After finishing the game, there is something to be said about bright hidden gems hidden under mountains of obscurity. This is definitely one of them. Chances are, you've heard of this game primarily through the controversy the transformers have been stirring up, it's how I heard about it. If you can somehow look past the controversy, you'll find a game full of soul and passion the devs put into it, and a story that will have you thinking about it afterwards. Do give it a try, it's definitely worth it. I wish I got it on sale lol
