As you already know from other reviews, the original level loves to crash every 5~ minutes. However, i managed to play through it without any issues after i loaded prior to playing another level before it (i don't know if you have to complete though, i didn't test it). I don't know if this helps the game in some capacity but you managed to get pass this annoying issue the game is worth it. Even if you don't manage to load it without issues, for 40 cents you can play the other levels they made which are newer and better. You don't miss much for not playing the first level other some nostalgia i guess.
As someone who was a huge fan of the flash version back in 2010, im so greatful that the developers decided to have even more fun with this game and continue it. Im IN LOVE with the artstyle and the whole concept of the game! This is the type of game i love to replay over and over, even back when i was aware only of the free version. Its just really therapeutic to sit down, blast some punk music and start scaring the hell out of people. When we were little, me and my sister would compete on who can scare off everyone faster and/or kill less people, definitely one of my favourite memories! The only issue i have with this version is the controls though. The old ones came more natural to me and were easier to get used to. I would love it if there was the option to switch up the keys.
This game is very straight forward game, there is only one goal, scare the frick out of these damn humans. Pretty simple right? But if you don't get the hang of it, it would be hard to scare people off fast and you will lost your interests fast. If you know the tricks, you can usually finish any map around 10 mins or less. First, I recommend choose the second map to play first, cause it a tutorial map, the third map is snowy map which I like. the most, the theme of first new map is kind boring, and the last map is the most classics one and the most "out dated" and boring one. Secondly, once you go into the map, find the most crowded area and haunt the object that needs lest time to do its spooky moves, so you can spam the keyboard and get the scary meter up fast. last, after you get the scary meter to the maximum, find the most loud ass object, usually the big ones that are in the center of the room, haunt them and spam them. The last person that in the house is usually the most annoying one, but these guys always go the opposite way of where you spirit at. So when they are already scared to the maximum, just drive them out with you ghost from, don't use the haunted object unless them they stopped their pace in the room. So now you know how to progress faster, I believe its gonna be a piece of cake for you to beat the game. During my playtime, I encountered game freeze several time. To my surprised, the game saved every progress I made in the game, so I don't consider the game freeze is a huge deal for me.
