If you're a sucker for psychological horror with no cheap scares, unique art styles, and an all-around unsettling vibe, this is the game for you. This was short but very fun to play and experience. This isn't just a typical linear horror game. In my opinion, it’s very much worth the full asking price, as I think there's replay value in decoding the game's meaning. I also can't say enough good things about the artistic nature of this game. There's no dialogue here—just a story that unravels before your eyes. It offers a very classic "point-and-click" feel while also allowing you to roam using your keyboard when needed. The puzzles weren’t hard to figure out, but that doesn't mean you won’t be wearing a thinking cap! They were very well thought-out, even making me chuckle at how much I was overthinking. This is the kind of well-rounded, thought-provoking, visually appealing stylized horror I’m a sucker for, and I wish there was more of it out there in the ether. I genuinely hope the creator of this game is doing okay.

A visually striking and unsettling work from Amanita Design, a studio known for its whimsical and charming titles like Machinarium. In contrast, Happy Game takes a sharp turn into the bizarre and nightmarish, offering players an intense experience with its haunting visuals and surreal atmosphere.

This Amanita Design game is a haunting exploration of childhood fears wrapped in a deceivingly charming art style. It delivers a surreal experience that kept me captivated from start to finish, blending clever puzzles with unsettling imagery and a chilling atmosphere. While its disturbing themes may not be for everyone, those who appreciate psychological horror will find "Happy Game" to be a memorable and thought-provoking adventure. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3265437909 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3247644736

You play a boy who goes to bed and stumbles from one nightmare to the next. Most of the time there are positive things like bunnies, smileys, teddies, clowns hearts, etc. That are corrupted or become collateral damage themselves. Every smile in the game seems artificial and tortured. The very red-heavy color scheme and art style contribute perfectly to the strange, dark and gory experience. The whole game, including the controls, is kept very minimalistic, but that fits the content. Nightmares don't explain themselves either, they just get straight to the point. The gameplay and puzzles are, on the whole, simple, intuitive and macabre. Or who hasn't cut a bunny in half with a guillotine? Or actually doubled. Complicated thing.

Amanita Design's attempt at a horror game. Nice. A dark version of their previous game "Chuchel". I'd call it a children's gateway into horror. They can steel their nerves on Happy Game before getting into the more popular horror games. Very short game, can be completed in 1 hour. I left my PC running again ffs.
