If you are looking for a simple stealth game with good graphics, don't wait. Pick this up NOW.. Gylt was a Stadia (Yeah, that dead gaming concept) exclusive that moved over to everything after a short stent. You play a the older sister looking for your missing younger sister who just started going to the same school as you. For some reason, there is a parallel city that she was trapped in with several other town residents. If you are looking for a game with excellent graphics, I would not put this on the top of the list. Do not get me wrong, the graphics are great and the level of detail is outstanding. This game was not designed to look like Horizon Zero Dawn. The comical animated style brings a sense of childish wonder mixed with a terror of silent hill. Heavy attention was paid to when they designed the feel of the environments. Moving over to the music. I will be short. It is simplistic to the point where it gets the atmosphere and tension where it needs to but no further. On the plus side, although repetitive, it is not overly loud nor is it annoying. Controls are simple. You pick up a few items that you would normally find at a school. These items will be used to clear pathways and deal with the monsters. As the game is more stealth than anything, usage will be more for traversing the multiple sections. The game has multiple endings so there is room for additional play-throughs. In conclusion, if you have fatigue from all those hardcore games, definitely pick this up. It is not very long but have simple intuitive game-play with a satisfying story!

Wonderful little spooky stealth horror adventure game for all ages. If you're a fan of Alan Wake, Coraline, or Little Nightmares, chances are you will love this title. I adore the art style especially. Would love to possibly see an update that adds fully rendered cutscenes, as the still images kinda took me out of it every time they showed up, but I also understand its an idie team and its not really a big issue at all. I won't spoil anything, but great art, great story, great music, and great gameplay. I absolutely see myself returning to this every once n a while for a long time.

THIS game was ... IT LEAVES ME SPEECHLESS. It was SO good from beginning to end, top to bottom. I am a a big scaredy-cat and I can't do horror movies or horror games - I can do suspense and thriller, but nothing too crazy or scary. This game, this story for me, was PERFECT. Not SO scary that I couldn't play it because I was paranoid or genuinely disturbed, but still spooky and creepy and scary enough that I felt scared! It was a game full of suspense and thrill for me! I LOVED IT! Very much has Stranger Things vibes, but NOT like that's what it's trying to BE. I LOVED THIS GAME. SO MUCH FUN. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.

Babys first survival horror. Originally a Stadia exclusive, that got a second chance and for the most part it delivers. It's sort of a more kid friendly Alan Wake (mixed with some Silent Hill, if it was made by Tim Burton, where you explore a nightmarish version of your school, in search for your missing cousin. It's a very forgiving and casual survival horror overall, you will never run out of batteries (your way to defeat enemies) or health since they are all over the place, the enemies will quickly lose interest in you if you run and hide and you will pretty much always have everything maxed and still have half a dozen more to pick up if things go south, and honestly it seldom does. The enemies are seldom a threat and you can dispatch or avoid them pretty easily. It's pretty much only the bosses that will give you any challenge at all, and even they are pretty easy when you understand the mechanics. This is not a bad thing, it's probably a very good first introduction to the genre, just don't expect to be challanged if you are a veteran. The amount of collectibles in each area are also clearly marked, and if you are close enough they will be marked in the map. Just make sure you collect everything before the "point of no return", because the only good ending require that you have found and saved all "Inhabitants", otherwise you are given a choice between one depressing and one awful ending that are both pretty horrible, and kind of goes against the theme of the game. I kind of hate when games does that, when the "secret" ending is the true ending. But overall, a few missteps aside, Gylt is a pretty solid game. Happy that it got a second chance after Stadia.

Good- Well-written characters with compelling voicework; engaging atmosphere; mechanics are simple but enjoyable enough for the short runtime. Bad- The story needs to be fleshed out; the level design can be pretty linear, making puzzles easy; combat mechanics don't have much depth. Thoughts- Despite its many shortcomings, GYLT is a passable adventure that retained my interest throughout its campaign. Sure, the mechanics aren't anything new or particularly innovative – but they serve their purposes for the relatively short runtime of around six hours. The story also has an exciting premise but falters due to a barebones structure and poor pacing. GYLT might be worth a try if you find any of this interesting, but it's passable if you aren't particularly piqued by anything on offer.
