fast and slick game play, once you master Copens abilities youre all over the place and thats cool. Bosees have really cool designs and i really dig the overall style of the game, if you played the inti creates megaman games, zx and zx advent and like them, then you should really give these a games a shot.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX is the first major spinoff in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series and plays just like a mainline title. Only there is no Gunvolt to play as. Instead you star as the Luminous Avenger Copen from the first 2 games. His gameplay is a more refined version of his Gunvolt 2 gameplay which makes this game pathetically easy in comparison to the first 2, only really showing difficulty on the 2nd phase of the final boss and the dlc boss. This game is also much shorter than the first 2 titles which is very noticeable on my repeat playthroughs. Overall Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX is a fun time but there isn't much meat on its bones 8/10

Whether you're going for all the achievements or playing casually, this is probably the shortest and most streamlined of the Gunvolt games to beat. Consequently, I'll admit it's stuck with me less than the other games in the series. That all said however, it's a massive amount of fun! Copen's “the floor is lava” gameplay from GV2 is back and as fun as ever. The levels being shorter makes them a blast to replay. The boss designs are overall pretty good, and beating them unlocks some of my favorite EX weapons in the series. Finally, while most of the story is kinda meh for me, the conclusion to the game goes HARD with some really cool twists, especially for fans who've played the other games. So yeah; I liked this game a fair bit. 🙂 IX is nowhere near my favorite Gunvolt title … but “not my favorite Gunvolt” still makes for an excellent action platformer overall. Whether you're a fan or new to the series, this title comes highly recommended!

Word cannot describe how fucking amazing LAiX is. like holy fucking shit this game story are insanely good, many of the plot twist had me standing up. The music are awesome like usual. The stage progression reminds me of the Zero series. I think Copen gameplay are just an port of his appearance in GV2, in turn they made the boss and stage even more harder, so this game are for player that want a challenging action platformer game. I feel like they should've drop the 'Gunvolt Chronicle' for this game, since the game are focus on Copen more than GV, but that just me. That's all I have to say about this game PLAY IT!!!

It plays alright, OST and designs are bangers as always, but I feel like it's preeeety hard to understand the bosses patterns, maybe because of the effects. Also Copen (Akira) actually plays more like a megaman game, since he has bosses weapons and whatnot, and that is pretty awesome. Story is bland but serviceable. 8/10, it did make me want to get S ranks on it.
