Good Game, Fighting is weird but once you get used to it is fun. This game is Fun in a way thats hard to describe. I feel like they should add the ability to change particle beam color and beam sword color. Customization in here is really big tho. Some sounds are from dragonball so its kinda funny, customizing weapons is confusing. Maybe there should be a option to combine visually weapons as well so there can be more playstyles. i.e long range weapon fuse with short range weapon, no weapon switching. maps could be bigger, it feels very restrictive when you play, I havent gotten through the whole story yet. would be fun to have team deathmatch modes or battle royale modes, something for pvp. no text chat on pc? is this roblox? Profanity is inevitable. friend hud is disastrous, profile cards are horrendous. As a single player game, very amazing. But as a multiplayer game based on the story, leave me with mixed emotions. I wish you could adjust the camera alot more, feels too close sometimes. Additionally a first person cockpit view would be geniunely amazing. Switching between pov would be cool, maybe enable players for vr too. I think THIS would help GB4s popularity in 2026 Building Gunpla is Cool, i made a Getter Robo so far.
Hey guys, they gave Gundam breaker 3 an english dub! This game is mostly a lateral throw to gundam breaker 3 AND THAT IS NOT A BAD THING! There are some improvements such as more indepth gunpla customisation, a visual overhaul, a photo gallery mode and a few extra mission types, but over all it's pretty much the same game. If you have never played a gundam breaker game (New gundam breaker dosn't count, no one likes New gundam breaker), they are basically a mix of Armored core (deep customisation options), devil may cry (fast paced, melee/combo focused combat) and diablo (LOOT!!). They are not hard and are just pure power fantasy from the word go. This game does have a single player campain that you can play through with friends, I just have no idea what that's like, none of my friends are Gundam fans. If i had to say one bad thing about this game it would be that little ♥♥♥♥ Tao. That winey little ♥♥♥♥♥♥ will spend most of the game in your ear going "Oh no, we don't stand a chance, that enemy looks WAy to tough for US to beat, we should just give up and crawl under our beds and cry" whcih will just about always be followed with you oblitorating the problem in 5 seconds (30 seconds on new type difficulty). Speak for yourself buddy, I'm a one man army. Summary: Some good mindless fun for Gundam fans, ♥♥♥♥ you Tao. I completed the main story (some grinding) in around 20 hours.
Wait for a sale, but it is a recommend. Story: Meh, it was okay, I would have preferred a Gundam game that had a legit story like one of the shows, about war and stuff, but "saving a video game gunpla model building 'world'" was okay, I guess. Side Note & Spoiler Warning: Chaos did nothing wrong, in the age where souless art is being made by AI Slop machines, I kind of had to side with the villain of the story when I got to the end. Graphics: Looks better than New Gundam Breaker, native ultrawide support which is always a great thing to see, especially when so many Japanese Game Devs don't usually include that function Gameplay and Combat: Combat and movement felt great, but the maps are generic and there was no real exploration, everything is virtual combat arena Music: Forgettable Gunpla Kitbashing: Fantastic, I've made some great kits from random pieces of various beloved Gundams across multiple series Bugs / Glitches: Granted, this game was already a couple of years old, so by the time I got it and played it most problems would have been resolved, but currently haven't found any. Final Verdict: 6/10, you come for the combat and the kitbashing which carries the game, you can ignore the rest, wait for a sale.
Wait for a sale. A while ago, New Gundam Breaker was announced. It looked really interesting, but I decided to hold off on buying it till it was out for a while and people had time to review it. When it did release, the reviews were not good at all, so I skipped it. However, I did find out about the Asian version of Breaker 3. While the voices were in Japanese, the menus and dialog were in English, so I could still enjoy it. I sunk a lot of hours into it, as it had achieved the holy grail of the combat aspect being a lot of fun while building your custom gunpla was equally fun (barring the Chapter 4 Death March). So, I was a bit excited when 4 was announced. Unfortunately, coming from 3, this feels like a lesser game. 3's overall visual and audio presentation is better (for one example, the guns from Gundam 00 all make the right noises in 3, but in 4, they all use Virtue's GN Bazooka noise, which is jarring if you've watched the series. There's lot of small audio quibbles just like this). The model kits in 3 really looked like they're made of plastic, whereas here the plastic-y sheen is hardly noticeable and the graphics lack the subtle soft lighting that helped sell the "these are little model kits moving around" fantasy. The combat in 3 is much better, too, which is a shame. On paper, being able to dual-wield any one-handed weapon sounds fun, but in practice it just makes them feel clunky and same-y. There are also still some strange balance decisions. All attacks where you deploy drones are EX skills requiring you to build stock before using, for example, whereas in 3 they were option part skills you could use without having to take up an EX slot. Even with moving some moves that were Option Part moves to being EX moves, It feels like there's fewer unique EX moves overall. The story also isn't as good, almost feeling like a derivative knock off of Build Diver's with it taking place in an MMO and dealing with AI. The main thing I'll praise 4 for is that the part customization is absolutely crazy, and the addition of playable SD Gundams is a welcome move. If you have not played 3, you should still enjoy this game, but I'd absolutely wait for it to go on sale. Even with the DLC, it's not worth full price.
