This is a very fun, very simple, and still occasionally quite difficult game. I find myself playing it for a few hours here and there when I want a distraction for a little while. Then I come back to it several months later and do the same. Very enjoyable.

It's the same as the original game without really making things fun; I don't see the ability to resurrect any of my old characters and the buffs you give in the game-play settings are pretty much useless, your characters are put into a meat grinder no matter what you do, all it takes is a bad hand, and an inexperienced player who doesn't know the rules. On top of that the stupid bard has nothing good to say for hints or clues on how to pass a tough character... ...play nice? Not in this programmers vocabulary. You can't do much more than make a character hot-dog look like a dressed up theme meal and stuff it into the dungeon's mouth.

Guild of Dungeoneering is a deckbuillding roguelike strategy game that is cute and quirky. Pros: -Tons of different classes and playstyles to unlock -Fun and charming artstyle and silly dialogue/settings. Lot's of fun narration voice lines. -Game received a bunch of updates and extra care from the devs Cons: -Randomness of dungeon tiles can make levels take much longer than necessary -You cannot replay levels/there are no real grindable levels. Thus if one of your statted-up characters dies, often times there's no place to catch back up besides replaying the same level with un-leveled characters until you beat it. -As you progress through to new worlds/levels the old classes get phased out as they just don't have the health and base cards to be relevant. Would be nice if they could naturally level up in some way (similar to the default chump) so you could still have the option of playing them without getting wiped by basic mobs. Overall I enjoyed this game a fair bit. I think that it's best played in small bursts overtime, if you play a lot at once it does start to get repetitive. While I did have my nitpick gripes, the gameplay loop was enjoyable enough to keep me coming back until I finished the game. Rating: 6/10
