One of the best sim racing ever created. Dynamic weather, smart ai, keyboard friendly, runs on very low end pc even with a ton of mods installed. Truly a timeless classic.

One of the best sims ever created. And for the 2 euro price or whatever it goes for on sales, it's quite frankly a steal. The base game without mods is a 10/10, you can mod it to make it an 11/10 game. A timeless gem.

There are patches and fixes for the grey cars at Racedepartment(OverTake) + has more modded cars than RACE07 + AI takeover + runs on a toaster (even with 20+ cars rendered at present) + AI recognizes you on track - (NOTICE) the performance of AI in both Qualifying and Race is somehow massively different, they can be really quick in qualifying while driving like Newbies at races, this is the same with RACE 07 (and probably GT LEGENDS)

This is an old game and I have an old "but not so old" PC (Asus Rog G20, 16GB RAM, GeForce 1060 GTX 6GB, 1TB SSD), so it's a perfect match. You just have to install the 16th Anniversary patch (4 GB) to benefit from a graphical update of tracks and cars : https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/gtr2-16th-anniversary-patch-part-1.21415/ See also some information here : https://esport-racing.de/gtr2-16th-anniversary-patch/ The patch includes a way to improve the wheel settings of modern PC wheels : https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/sho-competition-ffb-for-gtr2.30448/ If you use those patches, then the game remains a little jewel nowadays and still works on a PC which is not necessarily powerful according to modern standards. When old games are still playable on modern machines, this is a must since modders have usually greatly enhanced the original game. Wonderful games such as Colin McRae 2,0 or Tocar Tourning Cars 2 are not working well or not working at all on modern PCs. GTR2 is the opposite, it works flawlessly. I recommend the use of extra cars such as Ferrari 488 at Spa Francorchamps, a little jewel.
