The game won’t boot on Deck, but if you follow the steps from andres on ProtonDB, you can get the game and FMVs to run. Ran great after some tinkering. You can also remove the ugly sprite filter by just removing some files. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2369504101 Trust me, you’ll want this because some of the sprite work and animations are gorgeous! Outside of that, this was my first time playing to prep for the Lunar collection coming out soon and boy did this game deliver. Outside of the combat being great, exploring the world was very fun and really did evoke the sense of going of a grand adventure. The localization is the same as it was in the original, typos and all. A product of its time but you do have the option between English/Japanese voices. I stuck with the cheesy English dub lol, gave it more of a Saturday morning cartoon feel. Only thing I didn’t really enjoy was the game got pretty grindy in the second half. Not a hard game at all but if you’re the type of person who likes to max out their party’s stats, it will take you a VERY long time. I wish there was battle speedup here but the game is basically a straightforward port no bells and whistles attached. Regardless this is a great JRPG that I highly recommend

Just rolled credits. After playing through this game's story, I can completely recommend this game. A sweet coming of age story, with a big cast of interesting characters. Full of 90s Anime Flair imo, which is nice. Relationships between the Characters progress naturally. One of the few games that actualy gave me goosebumps. Story is 10/10 gameplay is 7/10 (Combat is peak, exploration is meh, espacially near the end) Music is 9/10 (only because I am spoiled by the "The legend of heroes" series) JP voice-over is a must. English text translation is sometimes meh, but you can still feel the emotion and spirit behind the writing. The way the plot unravels is nice and steady, while the stakes keep rising. Happy Ending :) I am glad I played this game. What a time to be alive^^

Grandia is an incredible game. I have totally fallen in love with it's story and characters it's so vibrant and has a lot of personality. I'm so glad I gave this game a shot. Grandia has quickly became my favorite jrpg of all time.

a REALLY good RPG with one of my favourite combat systems and a lot of soul, This game made me start playing more obscure games I thought looked interesting rather than games I've seen friends or other people talk about, One of the best choices I've made.
