Cosy, creative, and clever little puzzle box of a game. Interconnected in all the best ways. Sometimes I wished it'd let me cancel an animation, and it's a little short, but I'd take quality over quantity any day. The overarching story is very well thought out, thought-provoking, and thoughtful with connections to art, life itself, and the value of devotion.

Gorogoa is a truly unique and mesmerizing experience. Its originality and depth gave me goosebumps, and I found myself completely drawn into its beautifully crafted world. The puzzles are intricate yet rewarding, and the narrative unfolds in such a thought-provoking way. I highly recommend this game to everyone. In fact, I’m so captivated by it that I often sit down with friends and encourage them to play as well. It's that good!

Relish every minute of this pencil-and-watercolor puzzle, where feelings of melancholy, resignation, and hope subtly intertwine. It’s a brief but poignant philosophical reflection that will linger in your memory. Spending a few hours immersed in the creator’s world is truly impressive.

Gorogoa is an incredibly well made game with stunning graphics and innovative gameplay. This may look like a simple puzzle game on the surface but every frame of this game was made purposefully with complex details. You move tiles over each other to create the story, which does so well in telling the story that does not bore you. Gorogoa is so highly rated for a reason. Games by Annapurna Interactive always have such amazing visuals. Definitely recommended!

“Gorogoa” can be best characterized as a 2D multi-dimensional puzzle-adventure about enlightenment, and a terrible price paid for it. Story is non-linear and is splintered into different stages of life of the main protagonist, bound together by common pursuit for knowledge; it may seem confusing and fragmented at the beginning, but it starts making sense toward the end when it culminates. On the technical side, game features colorful and meticulously drawn graphics and quieted but mesmerizing music. Gameplay is about literally traveling through time and space via composed, overlaid or inlaid pictures, solving abstract puzzles and leaving it up to you to deduce the story and the meaning; it will last for about an hour or so, with a few replays in case you’re an achievement hunter and initially miss some. As a puzzle game, “Gorogoa” definitely stands as above-average, and has gained number of rewards during the year of its release, and shouldn’t be missing in the collection of any puzzle-lovers.
