GolfTopia stands out as the best golf management game I’ve ever played. It offers the freedom to design your golf course exactly how you envision it. I’ve had a blast crafting unique holes and exploring new worlds, especially the large map. While I do use cheats to eliminate pesky elements like weeds, the game strikes a perfect balance between business management and creative map building.

Nice building management game where you're rewarded for making an interesting, varied, and pretty golf course. The high-tech aesthetic and the intrusive weed mechanic are kind of weird, but once I accepted this wasn't a "purists" golf course building sim, it all worked quite well together. A good 12 hours of solid fun, and I'll get another 8 or so pursuing some achievements while tinkering around with my lovely course.

I liked it. I got about 15 hours out of it. Great game to pick up on sale. I don't feel like this has enough nuance to be a $20 game, but if it on sale have a great weekend and build some courses :D

If you enjoyed Sid Meier's SimGolf then don't even hesitate to pick up this absolute gem of a game. Quick run down: 1) The futuristic element works really well, I was dubious at first but honestly it's great and not over the top. 2) Course design is amazing and satisfying 3) The "crazy golf" options are great fun to use and allow you to get really creative 4) You don't have to make a somewhat crazy golf style course, it's completely optional, you can make a "serious" course should you desire 5) You can play your course, individual holes or even host a tournament that you compete in with AI with prize money should you reach top 3 6) AI have traits and skills, makes the game way more enjoyable as you'll have some peeps that suck and will take the easy option, then you'll have the more experienced ones that will take the challenging options (using boosts or whatever crazy stuff you place) 6.5) Peeps skill up over time - can be boosted by objects, driving range etc. 7) A lot of the crazy golf objects can be tweaked in some ways, ranging from power (boosters), direction and desire to use said object. 8) There's loads of gameplay tweaks that you can toggle on and off at your leisure ranging from angry mode (Not the actual name) which means you gain more rep/money etc from pi**ing off the customers, always night time, don't give a f mode (they wont wait for other golfers to get out of the way) and more. 9) Building on the tweaks above, there's difficulty settings for stuff like weeds, reputation and money so you can make certain parts easier or more difficult. It's a brilliant game, super chill and very rewarding. Big up tycoon games, we've missed you.
