This game is fast, fast, FAST paced. With a simple progression system as you play through the loops to unlock more upgrades to aid your run. The mechanics on how to earn your currency is literally be S C H M O V I N and S H O O T I N which makes this game feel so G U U U U U D. And to top it off, with the whole s c h m o v i n and s h o o t i n, the levels that are generated give such a constant change on how you interact with the environment that helps you S C H M O V E & S H O O T. Please, give this game a chance. Please, give this game support. Please, give this game it's kudos.

Pros: the gameplay and visuals are incredibly polished. It's really smooth to play and a lot of fun. Cons: everything else is barebones. Same bosses everytime, boring upgrades (some of them poorly thought out), a lot of weapons are samey but a couple of them are much stronger than the rest, the UI is lacking, nothing interesting is done with the combo system, enemy variety is good but it stays the same throughout all stages, the different levels are well designed, with different per stage features, but there's only so many of them. On top of it all don't expect much of anything for beating the game proper. Despite it all, it's a really well put together game that is straight up fun to play. The quality that's present in it carries the rest, I'd recommend it! I should also mention the game has one of those roguelite progression systems where you unlock new weapons/abilities/upgrades as you play more and more. I'm personally not a fan of this, I prefer to have everything in there from the get go, and I know most people don't care but I'll say it for those who feel like me.

The sugar addled love child of Super Monkey Ball, Hades, and Doom. This game slaps. PROs: The best part of the game is it's incredibly fun, unique movement. Almost every environment is full of bumpers, fans, boosts, and more to creatively navigate between enemies at high speeds. Chaining these together is a satisfying skill. Combat and enemy design is pretty on point, they're easy to read, have a large variety in threat level and how you play around them from ammo fodder you can pinball through to big bads you absolutely have to watch your step around. Aesthetic and sound design: It's a chaotic, bold, glitchpop feel. Some might not like this or find it overwhelming but I found it unique and immersive. Cons: Upgrades: I have a couple issues with the upgrade system. A lot of the upgrades are stat bumps, but you have no way of knowing how big that bump is. For example, if you're offered 2 upgrades, one which boosts gun damage, and another which boosts gun damage and fire rate, they each buff your gun damage by a different amount and there's no in game info to figure out those amounts. Also, once you've taken your second ability, all ability offerings for the rest of the game are effectively dead options so your upgrade choices are limited. The game should either greatly reduce the offerings of abilities after you've taken your second or allow you to pick more powerful versions of the abilities. The design of some levels: most of the levels feel incredible to play. But some are super clunky and really throw off the gameplay flow. The biggest offender here is a level in the sandy region where you have to land on a set of small platforms to take out the enemies perched there, but the games controls and isometric perspective make the depth perception and movement required to land this jump very awkward. It gets easier with practice but I'd rework this level. There a few other levels that could use a couple extra traversal options. Run variety: As far as I can tell, you play the same maps every run, and many of the upgrades are pretty incremental, and you face the same bosses each time as well. At about 3 hours of gameplay I won my first run and haven't gone back to see how the ascensions work, so I might update this later, but if they could find a way to make each run feel a little more unique that would add a lot to the game.

Go Mecha Ball's gamefeel is so delicious it should be used to teach classes on character controllers. I played the steam next fest demo over and over til the wheels fell off, and I've been frothing at the mouth for more ever since. The full game Delivers. It's an instant game of the year contender. It's a love letter to screenshake. It's a PhD-level dissertation on "juice". It's the best core loop I've ever felt in a roguelite.

Ive been following this game since it was just a little ball guy on default cubes and a white background and today we have a excellent fast paced neon arcade-y pinball-y shooter (and it plays great on Deck). Has a good level of skill to it as my first run was sooo sloppy compared to the ones that followed. I guess the only negatives I can think of is no accessibility options like red outlines on enemies and no in-game button remap. Its just a solid game.
