wew approved? YES, YES, and YES! (cuteness overload!) Go-Go Town is a cozy casual game. I think it can be considered as a management sim? After all, you are the mayor in charge of the town (you may or may not be kidnapped a ha ha). It’s basically Animal Crossing, BUT with lesser restriction and faster progression. Unfortunately, as a person with quite a low attention span, I was not able to enjoy the AC series to their fullest due to the real-time system (always envied how others have such aesthetic decoration)… But now I have Go-Go Town :D This game really fulfilled what I’ve always wanted to do in AC (some parts remind me of a certain trash raccoon… haha). The game is currently in Early Access, but the game as it is currently already offer a lot of gameplay. I’ve been playing for almost 3/4 days straight WITHOUT SLEEP (addiction is real, please avoid at all cost). Personally, I really love decorating the town, I’m really looking forward to what the devs are going to add in the future (hopefully more customisation and automation!). Overall, I think I really like this game, and am hopeful that it’ll just get better. 8/10 for now as there is still room for improvement! PS: I’m playing it on the Steam Deck, and I think it works great! I do find that playing it on the PC is more flexible, so hopefully they’ll improve the controls on the SD in the future.

I'm more obsessed with this game than I thought I would be. Everything really comes together once you've got your resource zones and couriers set up. They require so little micromanaging that it allows me to just have fun and play with the town layout. And if I wanna chill from town planning, I can just play around in the resource zones, work on export missions, or just explore the area and watch the townies go about their business. I can't wait to see what new assets will be added to really jazz up the town! Also, I appreciate that there's no combat. Just an awesome chill city builder game. :D

I'm going to say yes, I recommend... if you can get it at a pretty heavy discount. In it's current state the game is adorable as heck but there is far too little content that is far too easy to reach the end of. Progress after the first couple of level ups becomes dull and not particularly rewarding. The AI is borked and your people just forget what the heck they are meant to be doing. Even if you just want something laid back, there is still too little challenge at all and if you think you are going to be opening and using the whole map, be ready to be building the same things over and over and over and over. The game is fun. Please don't get me wrong! I enjoyed my time in game and I REALLY hope we get a LOT more content so I can do so again... for a little longer next time. It has potential, but so do a lot of early access games that never go anywhere. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed cos I really wanna spend more time in this!

This game is absolutely perfect if you want to stop thinking about literally anything else. It is very well designed, completely consumes your attention, and is easy to put down and pick up. Love it on my steam deck.

It's unbelievable how addicting and cute this game is. I found myself very easily racking up the hours meticulously planning out the layout of my town as well as gathering and producing resources for the shops. I also appreciate the aspects of resource gathering as well as completing objectives to unlock new items. The game is still in early access so I understand the development team is working on bugs and new additions. The only things I've found myself unhappy with, is that I find it very easy to complete everything too quickly, but as more content is added this may be an issue of the past. Also (and this may just be me liking things very organized), when you hire workers to work in the various industries, I find myself spending way too much time re-organizing the stuff they just throw in the storage whenever they choose. If you see I'm stockpiling cement in that storage bin, stop throwing rocks in there. Put the rocks IN THE ROCK STORAGE CONTAINER. But I digress, I'm sure they're just doing their best. All in all, highly recommend this game. Very fun and very cute.
