July 2025
This game is unexpectedly addictive and absolutely delightful. I’ve spent more time than I’d like to admit carefully designing my town, managing supply chains, and pretending I'm some kind of cozy industrial tycoon. The resource gathering and objective-based unlocks are genuinely satisfying—perfect for those who love structured progression and a good to-do list. Even in early access, the game offers a solid foundation. It’s clear the developers are putting in the work, and I’m excited to see where it goes. That said, content-wise, it’s a bit like a delicious snack—enjoyable, but over a little too soon. I hit the current endgame faster than I expected, but I’m hopeful future updates will keep me coming back for more. Now, let’s talk about the workers. Bless them, but their storage habits are… chaotic. Imagine painstakingly sorting your inventory, only to have someone walk in and throw rocks on top of your perfectly stacked cement. Every. Single. Time. It’s a minor gripe, sure—but if you’re the type who organizes their desktop icons by color and category, this might drive you mildly insane. (Still love them, though.) Overall, it’s a relaxing and engaging game with tons of charm and real potential. I only stopped playing because, well, humans need sleep. If this is just early access, I can’t wait to see the polished version—hopefully with smarter storage etiquette.

I bought this game less than 24 hours ago and I've already played for 9.5 hours. I play a lot of management games, but there's something different about this one. And there is so much to do in this game! The game does a great job of tiptoeing you into growing your town without overwhelming or handholding you. It is highly addicting and runs fantastic on Steam Deck.

I'm someone who suffers from aphantasia so layouts and building things is an absolute nightmare for me. I was so incredibly hesitant to purchase this game for that reason because I've played Dinkum and Animal Crossing and I just don't enjoy them and end up overwhelmed. Go Go Town is the first building town / decoration game that I have already reached the end of the ranks and am just decorating my town now. It's super easy to move everything around, it runs super smooth, the animations are so cute and I love finding what I can interact with. I'm already desperately waiting for more content before I'm even finished with what I have now. If you're hesitant about building games because you've never had much luck with them before, I suggest you try Go-Go Town for sure. 10/10 for cozy and easy creativity.

wew approved? YES, YES, and YES! (cuteness overload!) Go-Go Town is a cozy casual game. I think it can be considered as a management sim? After all, you are the mayor in charge of the town (you may or may not be kidnapped a ha ha). It’s basically Animal Crossing, BUT with lesser restriction and faster progression. Unfortunately, as a person with quite a low attention span, I was not able to enjoy the AC series to their fullest due to the real-time system (always envied how others have such aesthetic decoration)… But now I have Go-Go Town :D This game really fulfilled what I’ve always wanted to do in AC (some parts remind me of a certain trash raccoon… haha). The game is currently in Early Access, but the game as it is currently already offer a lot of gameplay. I’ve been playing for almost 3/4 days straight WITHOUT SLEEP (addiction is real, please avoid at all cost). Personally, I really love decorating the town, I’m really looking forward to what the devs are going to add in the future (hopefully more customisation and automation!). Overall, I think I really like this game, and am hopeful that it’ll just get better. 8/10 for now as there is still room for improvement! PS: I’m playing it on the Steam Deck, and I think it works great! I do find that playing it on the PC is more flexible, so hopefully they’ll improve the controls on the SD in the future.

I'm more obsessed with this game than I thought I would be. Everything really comes together once you've got your resource zones and couriers set up. They require so little micromanaging that it allows me to just have fun and play with the town layout. And if I wanna chill from town planning, I can just play around in the resource zones, work on export missions, or just explore the area and watch the townies go about their business. I can't wait to see what new assets will be added to really jazz up the town! Also, I appreciate that there's no combat. Just an awesome chill city builder game. :D
