(I think I know why you (yes, YOU) are here. I'm not going to say anything regarding that matter. Still I think you should support the game and you will learn about some Japan-related stuff playing this game.) Go! Go! Nippon is outdated. I mean obviously since the game was released in 2011 and new contents were up to date as of 2016 (with the two DLCs), some information about tourist locations within the game are false in the current date. That said, as a piece of learning material, I'd say it's a nice way to get into knowing about some popular Japanese tourist locations. By easing the player into a cute little Visual Novel, I actually had fun and get to learn more than a couple new things about places and cultures I didn't know exist. The VN story itself is a little weak compared to ones you get these days. You're going on your "First Trip to Japan (heh)" and get to stay with two Japanese sisters who are eager to show you around Tokyo (and a couple more). Depending on where you choose to go each day, one of the sisters will be your guide and some specific decisions may trigger side events or additional locations. As you grow your feelings towards the girls, one or the other, your week ends with you forming a relationship with either sister, triggering one of her three possible endings. The routes are pretty shallow (and some are a little less obvious as to how to unlock), but it's also unoffensive and light-hearted fun (aside from...ahem...a few 2010s ecchi jumpscares). What's great about Go! Go! Nippon is that it really is designed to tell you about each place you visit. It's not really too specific from what I recall but you will definitely learn a thing or two after every location choice you made and it would be really great for those who want to plan a trip to Japan (again, some info are outdated but most are still good). There are links that you can click while at a location to bring up a Google Map of the exact location which is really cool. Also I like the little wallet thing where you can put your currency conversion rate and the game will tally your potential spendings as you go. I mean it's a little useless now because inflation, but it's still a very nice touch. Now, this entire review is based on me playing the game with BOTH DLCs, which are required in order to have all the locations, endings and achievements. I think there are better ways to do this but I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND you purchasing and enabling them because it results in a far better product than the base game. All in all, I recommend Go! Go! Nippon (WITH BOTH DLCS) for people who want to learn a little bit about Japan without having to watch documentaries or flipping through pages, especially for those who may or may not be seeing themselves in Japan in the future. It's not going to be the best way to get up-to-date information, but it is surely fun.

God i wish i could actually go to japan and see them. This is easily an all time fav, and less a game and more of an experience. A must include in any Weeaboo or Japanophile's arsenal of games/experiences. Highly recommend!
