It's pretty fun! There's actually quite a bit of depth in terms of unit customization, allowing for ANY kind of army composition to work. In other words, you can make anything work with enough effort, and unusual strategies can be fun to just explore. The only con I'd point out is that "build-defining" tier 4 traits and lvl 30 items are available pretty much by the moment you're about to "beat" the campaign, so there isnt much more challenge or content to actually test your power on. By the time your units are around level 20, you're swimming in gold and powerful items, and all challenges (including bosses, of whatever level) are pretty much trivial. I'd love some more "post-campaign" VERY hard content.

I love the game but I would love to see some more things. WISH LIST: 1. A way to set up protective orders. For example a tank that is set to protect a summoner wont leave the summoner but will stay in front of them and fight any near by enemies. 2. Xp gained column in the stats menu at the end of the battle 3. This one is a bit optimistic but maybe in a future game, have the fighters occupy tiles and not allow them to overlap each other. For example, I set up two tanks in front of a beserker and the beserker will just walk through my tanks and go straight for my back line. it would be nice to see that he would at least have to walk around first. 4. Another optimistic one would be to see an armor stat that is only affected by items. I.e. you cant level it up but buying items and placing them in slots could increase it. 5. the ability to craft all items except the upgradable ones.

What appears on the surface to be some kinda crappy ported mobile game, with its 'blue bullcrap' diamond MTX resource being converted to be grind-able, quickly proves itself to be anything but. It's a very well put together little auto battler with tons of items and builds to grind out and dozens of units to unlock. It also has the ability to rename units which is great for immersion and fun. Some of the units have some pathing issues, but these haven't been a stick in the wheel for me. The unit variety is great, with everyone filling a niche. You have everything from your traditional knights wizards and healers, to a hobo with a strength scaling AOE fart cloud attack... And there is an item that causes AOE abilities to set enemies on fire... I don't think there is a game other than South Park that allows you to build an explosive / flaming farts playstyle. I can imagine this game is tremendously difficult to balance, especially for new players, so give the guy time with this, he has his feedback. The difficulty spikes, even on normal difficulty are something to behold. If you like that sort of thing it is a plus, but if you like a constant stream of progression it is not. I will note, that I've noticed similar spikes in power on some of the characters I've been experimenting with and building, due to some interesting stat scaling items. For example, while building a metal executioner, I found some items that give massive % to strength but at certain costs like reducing his movement speed. The result is a character that can hit for 13000 with his execution attack despite only being level 15. This chunks the HP bar of even boss characters that you're supposed to grind against for a bit. The campaign is also well made, with you getting access to different things from different factions depending on your relations with them. I've played through a couple of times now and been offered access to different units. This run, the baroness has offered me some soldiers, and I don't remember this happening before. I recommend this game, and the current price is just right for a game like this - it's still just an auto battler, keep in mind. Just a very good one. Thank you for reading my review.

It's still missing some extra bits like remembering last layout, some more things to do between quests, and some more variation in the attack settings... but overall pretty fun.

It's ok, but get's boring after the first hour. Having no formations and needing to put your mercenaries on the board every fight is tedious. The devs might want to add some QOL things to make playing this game less tedious. The UI is a bit clunky, can't put my finger on what it is that makes me feel this way. Playing the campaign i got upset seeing that i can't play previous tournaments and being forced to play the current unlocked one. At a 50% sale it's worth buying for 1-2 hours of fun.
