Your character doesn't have health, can jump off heights and only occasionally gets slightly slowed down. If you lose, so what? But there's also a ghost side, which I find more appealing. Ghosts can possess items and then move around, so the game becomes a Prop and Seek. They can scare NPCs with various abilities e.g. summoning minions, infernal hands, or simply hanging people in the air. I love this game. Not enough PC players though, it's mostly snotty nosed xbox kids literally arguing with their mothers as they play. Due to this, it's hard to find a good group who are capable of capturing a ghost. That said, the single player/bot experience isn't half bad. It could be that I'm just nostalgic for my saturday morning childhood and this scratches my inner ghostbuster itch, but this is a fantastic game and could be better if it had more PC players. Quotes from voice chat during my experience thus far: "Mom! They swore in the game! The guy told me to kick the ghosts 'swear-word" (Mom in the background: "ass isn't a swearword, Lucas") -note, lucas proceeded to say ass every second word for the rest of the round. "I can't just leave we've already started! No!!!! Mooooom!!!!! Stoooop!!!! Bzt.... *silence*" "N******! B****** a******** f***********! F*********** y*******!!" "*sounds of tinny mumble rap or trap*" You can mute players. But you'll have to do so every match.

The fact that this game exists at all is honestly nothing less than a miracle for old Ghostbusters fans. I thought the 2009 game was the end of good Ghostbusters games that would involve the actual cast. This isn't some sweaty mlg game. It's a extremely casual multiplayer experience, to the point where you can go into the accessibility options and choose to turn on auto button mashing for the minigames. You can choose to buy all the cosmetics in the game for 6 bucks instead of spending hours earning them. The game has offline mode so you can play with bots if you get stressed with playing multiplayer but still want to play a Ghostbusters game. I love everything about the casual nature of this game. There's a sea of extremely competitive and grindy multiplayer games that already exist and most of them don't have bots to play offline so when the online player base dies, so does the entire playability of the game. The developers of this game were very smart, they didn't try to be the next fortnite or whatever. They made a very solid Ghostbusters game with all sorts of lovely cosmetics from The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters that will make any old fan of the cartoons happy. If you happen to own a vr headset there's a mod called Praydog Unreal Injector that will allow you to experience this game in vr with full vr controls, it's worth every penny and a real treasure for us old Ghostbusters fans. For people who aren't hardcore fans of the shows or haven't watched them, it's still a lovely and solid multiplayer game. My only complaint is the offline bots for the Ghostbusters is pretty meh, I hope they can update the AI to be a bit more smart. I hope they keep putting out more content for this game too cause I would love any excuse to come back to play it.
