Fun game. Achievements been broken for the longest according to what people are saying. I didn't get any either. There are some frustrating sections but I enjoyed it all for the most part.

I bought and played this game because I got the impression there was going to be more "funny" moments. Having played through 70% of the game at the time of writing I realized I wasn't getting the experience I wanted so I stopped. I would still wholeheartedly recommend this game as a platformer for all the difficult platformer enthusiasts.

Great humor, great mechanics and interesting visual design. The level design however is really awkward and strangely paced I feel like. Some levels have great flow, others feel pretty frustrating. This game could use another round of level polish. That aside, it's a great title.

TL;DR: Celeste for gigachads Garlic is a fun platform game with very simple mechanics featuring a jump and a dash. There is also an optional backflip move which can be very powerful if you are willing to master it. the movement is very satisfying and keeps you engaged even when you are struggling. Garlic has a unique art direction combined with funny cutscenes and a good soundtrack. This made the game very memorable and charming. I really like the minigames that interrupt the main game that provides a change in pace. There is a bunch of fun boss battles too. The difficulty is fair and surprisingly forgiving for a precision platformer, however my only complaint might be with the inconsistency regarding difficulty. You will run into levels that are very challenging followed by levels that are mostly a cakewalk. Another problem is that the levels are mostly middle of the road quality, they aren't bad, they are't great, they are just OK. Overall a good game that I would recommend to any platformer enjoyer.
