Completely and utterly CONSUMED. I have put hundreds of hours into this little game, fully expecting a cozy quick game to turn my brain off to. WRONG. I found myself in the pits of economic turmoil, scarcity rocked me to my core. I gave up on aesthetics in favor of industry. After all that... I put my little beach together, built up my garden with my pots, and watched my turtles helplessly wander. Rewarding doesn't even scratch the surface.

I played the demo and instantly fell in love but when I bought the full game I as quite thrown off by all the item types being available at the start. The demo only had about 6 different types of coins which meant you could somewhat reliably get the item you wanted which would be mostly ground tiles. I expected the full game to have a gradual introduction to the new item sets but instead it just swarms you with random items at the start which means you end up with a very large trash island before you can actually begin to sculpt your word which would be very unsatisfying for anyone who skipped the demo. Speaking of the demo, it sucks that you can't continue your save from the demo which means you had to remake any parts you enjoyed from scratch which doubly sucks because of the aforementioned bad pacing of new items. I'm only being so critical because I actually really like the game so these parts bother me more.

I love this game but there are 3 things that make me not want to play it: 1. The inventory / item storage sucks. Either add an inventory tab or triple the size of the cardboard boxes. There needs to be a way to add in item to an existing stack without the tedium of opening and checking all the boxes to find where it goes (holding ctrl and right clicking to add to a stack) 2. Farming for tiles in the late game sucks, when cashing out a stack of 30 rainbow coins, it takes FOREVER to sort / put away all of the different, random tiles and items (see issue 1) but also the way items stack on top of each other and random coins is very cumbersome to sift through 3. Taking items out of storage sucks, as it seems to be random what items can stack on top of each other, when farming items (see issue 2) or more often, taking stacks out of boxes, half of the items in the game require you to take them out 1 at a time. If I need to take out 50 water tiles, there are no other options other than to meticulously pull them out, over and over, and over, and over
