Are you perhaps friendless since the day you know you are? This is definitely for you. Friend to Lover... or just try it in IRL. This game wants me to puke at being surreal, that I'm crying. I'll be refunding this game for now. 50% discount is too small for me, as a slave in a corporate world. At the very least, make it 75%... But NN making it like that? I have no hope...

It's very good, but the overuse of expletives and the translation not always conveying what the Japanese writer actually wrote leaves me disgusted with the translator. Writers only use expletives when their vocabulary is inadequate and lacking. The writer wrote that spiders are arthropods, not insects. Phylum Arthropoda is made up of 4 groups, of which both arachnids and insects are included. This leads me to believe that the writer actually meant arachnids, not arthropods. Biology is definitely not one of the writer's strengths. Rina's bikini is actually a bra design and looks out of place at the pool. Rina is written to have said "eureka" when she actually says "yoo-hoo." Rina's eyes are very ugly. The shape, color (poop) and placement are horrible. Rina's character designer was awful and never should have been given the job. I bath regularly? No. I bathe regularly is how it is written. The writer does not know the difference between excretion and secretion. He thinks sweat is a secretion. It is not. It is an excretion because it is exiting the body. Secretions are internal. It is easy to remember because it is done in "secret." Is biology not being taught in school anymore? The translator also uses stupid words like gonna and stuff when writing a love confession which completely and utterly ruins the mood. He has obviously never had a girlfriend and completely lacks the means to articulate feelings properly without using crass expressions or inappropriate slang. The person who did the translation has a very filthy mind and he thinks we want to see it too. He is also the English translator for Sankaku Renai, which was obvious when I started seeing expletives and coarse language every other sentence. He also made the protagonist seem like a total jerk, nearly ruining the story for me. In the game it was written that giraffes are not herbivores and that they eat meat. That is dead wrong. Giraffes are herbivores. TBAC (Matthew Carolan) is one of my least favorite translators. He uses the word "legit" in seemingly every other sentence, wearing out its novelty within a few paragraphs. Fureraba is very good, but the overuse of expletives, incorrect wording and misspelling made it far less enjoyable than it could have been. TBAC's writing is so bad that I had to ctrl-skip through most of the game's dialogue. At least the voice acting was very well done. FYI: It's spelled chihuahua, not chiwawa. 6/10

Fureraba is a rather decent moege, most of the game is comedy but there are some surprisingly emotional & heartwarming moments. Even though this is an old game, CGs are very well-drawn and still up-to-date with today’s standards, H-scenes aren’t lengthy which is a huge plus in my opinion. The main problem I have with Fureraba is its protagonist, out of every Smee games I’ve read (Fureraba, Making Lovers, Sugar Style, HaremKingdom), Kyousuke is the most hyperenergetic, he’s quite calm in some routes yet super annoying in others, especially in Himari’s route. Overall a good game, as long as you won’t easily get annoyed by the protagonist’s antic, you should buy and experience Fureraba.

Keep in mind I'm playing with the 18+ patch, I don't like playing my games censored So far so good, I finished the first route the Himari route and honestly that was a pretty cute route in of itself of how they got together felt pretty natural because they were already childhood friends and she DID technically had a crush on him before so this defiantly felt more like a natural progression of how they ended up together so overall it was pretty cute. At minimum though the routes should really only take like 10-12 hours each to complete, the fact that people here got like 80+ hours in this game shows me that either these people are very slow readers or just really like going through those extra 18+ scenes in the extras (heck even the description says there is only like 30-50 hours of content... 167 hours playing this? how?)..... even though I do have the 18+ patch myself I actually skipped most of the sex scenes (you can always watch them later in extras) since 1. I'm in my parents house that would be very weird if they caught me watching this stuff and 2. It just takes too long so I just wanted to kinda rush through those to get through the actual meat and potatoes of the relationship stuff between the characters. The school life story stuff is also pretty funny, its defiantly a well written game. Overall yes I recommend it.

NekoNyan Ltd hit another one out of the ballpark with Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~. It’s fun and engaging, and not quite as raunchy as some of their titles.
