LOVE !! FRUITBUS !!!! my most anticipated game in the last 3 years. i played the demo for hours and loved every single second of it !! bought the game instantly + soundtrack to support the creators bcs this game is 1000000% worth ittt i'll update this review more in-depth when I have more playtime for the full release, but for now pls pls pls give it a chance, i can guarantee fruitbus is definitely a gem and deserves all the recognition ♡ EDIT: I have taken my time to truly explore and interact with the entire game and its NPCs and it's been so amazing, I go to bed excited to keep playing the next day ! everything is just so charming and fun and the story is so heartwarming. grandma surely was the best !! the game never gets boring because you always learn and acquire new things as you progress ! i've had a lot of fun customising my bus further on the second and third island and the new free christmas update is just so much fun !! also my pc has no complaints running this game, unlike some other new releases of 2024..! there's been a bunch hotfixes and small updates since release and the devs have been super sweet and receptive

I am so sad I am almost near the end of the game. It has been so much fun. I am hoping for a content update. Just a bit of warning, the gifs in the game description seem to be older footage. Nothing looks like this anymore. I haven't even seen most of the cosmetics that are in the second footage.

I just finished this game after buying it as soon as it released. I was so excited for it after playing the demo and it did not disappoint. The story is incredibly well written and bittersweet towards the end, unlocking the different memories and falling in love with Grandma just made me weep like a baby when it came to wrapping things up. I bought it because I enjoyed the food truck aspect, I kept playing it because I fell in love with the story. All in all, a masterpiece in my books.

I voted yes, but as it currently stands with all the bugs and things in it, it’s kind of a no until the bugs get fixed. It’s a good idea of a game, I’ll definitely keep trying to play it, but there are still quite a few bugs that end up making it frustrating to play. The frame rate drops dramatically when there are too many components in an environment, and doesn’t improve unless you leave the game and/or lower the specs. The shadows pop in and out making the experience very jarring at times. The feature to customize your truck is unusable, the wrench does nothing as you try to select where to add your customization, which is very disappointing since I really wanted to utilize that feature as it was advertised in the trailers. I also clipped a lot through the environments, which I don’t care about as much but it would be nice to see that finessed more to avoid clipping through walls. Some quests are virtually impossible (I’m looking at you crafter, with your lost coin and literally NO CLUES as to where it could possibly be >:[ ), and sometimes quests will just behave like you didn’t complete them and you can’t continue to the second portion of a quest (the toucan with the trash on the sign quest as an example; I cleaned it and the character later wanted a smoothie, but wouldn’t approach the van? Later I found the trash randomly respawned which I found was why the character was not willing to come to the bus, which was very frustrating to figure out for a quest I thought I already completed) I wish there was more finesse in how you can place objects inside the truck, it’s finicky and at times was a little aggravating to work with. But that to me wasn’t as much of an issue as the other bugs I was experiencing. It’s a really cute game with so much potential but I can see how these bugs as they currently exist would deter potential buyers. I hope the bugs get fixed soon, I’d really like to play it as it was intended to be played as.

I love this game so far! Has a similar vibe to Slime Rancher, in my opinion. It's cozy and low-pressure compared to other cooking sims, which makes it very comfy to play. Everything feels tactile: picking up, moving, and throwing items, pressing buttons in the truck, picking fruit out of trees and bushes, moving appliances and decorations around your kitchen... It's all very satisfying. The game gives you a lot of freedom in setting up your kitchen and progressing through the game. There are no time limits or deadlines (so far)! The game's aesthetic works well, and though the animatronic-esque NPC animations are jarring at first, I grew to like them. There are a few minor bugs/performance issues, but nothing that has kept me from playing the game. There are also a few things in the game I wish were better explained: does food rot away? How long does that take? Do crates prevent it? Does honking the horn negatively affect NPCs? This can easily be solved in future updates. Though I'm only a couple hours in, I can tell the game already has plenty of content to justify its $25 pricetag. I'm really excited to see the rest of what this game has to offer, and I hope the devs continue to add more in the future!
