Progression in this game feels like a drug. Constantly making that new tool while furnaces are plinking away in the background. This game will have you wanting to do that for hours, it's REALLY addictive buttttttt VVVV Development has ceased so the unpolished and grindy aspects will never be reworked. (Pre-robotic shovel archaeology, fishing rod uselessness outside of kraken eyes, legendary gems farming, slow spirit orb usage, nuclear structures being worse.) Dev seems to have moved onto a 2D sequel while leaving forager out to rot.

Wasn't sure what to make of this game at first as it starts pretty slow, but pretty quickly you are starting to ramp up and monitoring hundreds of different tasks. Progression comes pretty smoothly till the higher levels when you are really automating yourself out of the processes happening. Thrown in are dungeons and puzzles to keep you occupied as you progress. Some of my favorite distractions were the dungeons that had an interesting gameplay alternative to the overworld. Would really recommend to fans of Stardew Valley or games like that.

SO much fun. progression and getting the achievements is satisfying. I love the pixel style. get this if you're looking for straight forward progression with little need to reference guides outside of game.

I knew how a good and addicting a game Forager is, when i preferred to PLAY it instead of writing a review mid-gameplay like i mostly do with other games! plus i really loved the bonus content of the backstory on how forager got made. Would really love to see a spin-off or a continuation of Forager in the future! *my game playtime was 80% with no mods and 20% with mods. I find it to be the perfect balance of this gameplay (around when i maxed most of the game options and had to grind to gain void craftable items). The communities mods are wonderful, and i'm very happy to try for the first time the steam-modding option with Forager because the community submissions are various and great! Notice my review rating below is mainly about the original game without the mods. ❀ Audience ❀ ☐ Beginner β˜‘ Casual Gamer β˜‘ Normal Gamer ☐ Expert ☼ Graphics ☼ ☐ Eh ☐ Alright β˜‘ Good ☐ Beautiful ☐ Fantastic ♬ Music ♬ ☐ Bad ☐ Alright ☐ Good ☐ Beautiful ☐ Fantastic β˜‘ Played muted (multitasking) ☠ Difficulty ☠ β˜‘ Easy ☐ Average β˜‘ Easy to learn / Hard to master ☐ Hard ☐ Unfair β˜‘ Easy for others, Hard for me (braingobrrrrrrr) Β§ Bugs Β§ ☐ Bugs destroy the game ☐ Lots of bugs β˜‘ Few Bugs ☐ You can use them for speedrun ☐ Nothing encountered *bugs: losing the pet (there is a mod for this tho), losing holy-relic (used a mod to re-gain), wood bridge tiles sometimes get misplaced and can get you stuck (fixable only when pickaxing two-to-three tiles around it), too many droids or crafting items working at the same time cause lag (mods fix it but it happens everytime I started the game-file) ☯ Story ☯ ☐ There is none ☐ Bad ☐ Alright ☐ Good ☐ Fantastic β˜‘ IDK (cutscenes skippa!) βš” Gameplay βš” ☐ Frustrating ☐ Sleepy ☐ Boring β˜‘ Fun β˜‘ Challenging *challenging in the way it's fun and entertaining to play, not the 'thisistoohard' challenging definition! ۞ Game time / Length ۞ ☐ Really short (0 - 3 hours) ☐ Short (4 - 8 hours) ☐ Few hours (10 - 20 hours) β˜‘ Long (40-60 hours) ☐ Very Long (61-100 hours) ☐ Extremely Long (101+ hours) ☐ Infinite amount of time $ Price / Quality $ ☐ Full price β˜‘ Wait for Sale ☐ Don't buy ☐ Refund it if you can +ADDITIONALS+ β˜‘ Stimmable (ND approved) β˜‘ Windowed option β˜‘ Adjustable Windowed option ☐ Dark Mode option β˜‘ Skippable cutscenes β˜‘ Showcaseable Achievements (Steam approved) β˜‘ Steam points shop items β˜‘ Steam cards / Badges !
