It's really unfair how little hype this game has gotten. This is easily the best college football game currently on the market. Once NCAA 25 comes out, it will still be the best college football game on the market. The gameplay is exclusively sim-based, so compare it to games like Football Manager or Out of the Park Baseball, or Madden franchise mode if you just super sim all the games. If that sounds like something you enjoy, then this is the game for you. The sheer amount of customization in the game adds a whole new layer. There are dozens of custom universe files in the official community Discord that can add in real FBS, FCS, Division 2, and even high school and JUCO teams. If you can learn some basic coding (or literally just change the names and colors on an already existing universe file), you can make virtually any college football universe you want. Everyone is waiting for NCAA 25 to build a dynasty with Ball State or Rice, but I'm telling you the game you're waiting for is already here, and it cost a quarter of the price that EA is gonna charge you for NCAA 25. Edit: College Football 25 is a FANTASTIC game in my opinion... But right now, the dynasty servers are down, and this game still works just fine. Somehow, some way, this game will ALWAYS have a leg up on anything EA makes.

This game hits like crack in the 80's. I don't even like college football, but I love sports management sims, and as it stands, this game already feels more complete than other sports sims on the market that have been rolling out annual versions for 10 years. This review is from the perspective of somebody who has played Eastside Hockey Manager and Franchise Hockey Manager extensively. I am also unfamiliar with college football aside from knowing that Umass is ass. Recruiting is just as enjoyable as signing, trading, and drafting, which are all common in the games that I enjoy. It's addictive and the process lasts all season. Scouting, coach meetings, scholarships, and extra money on top of scholarships are all viable negotiating tactics. It's awesome. In game is also wonderful. Have as little or as much control as you want over plays, subs, and clock management. Coaches are extremely important due to bonuses to playcalling. It allows less competitive teams to pull out some surprises when you have a good system in place. Speaking of playcalling, at the start of the week you can choose practice focuses, which also add bonuses to playcalls, really allowing you to push teams to overachieve. Gameplans likewise can get changes at the start of the week, and there is a convenient breakdown of your opponent in a myriad of offensive and defensive categories, which helps with the gameplan. But what if your gameplan poops the bed in the middle of a game? Change it on the fly or call plays manually with ease. I also find the UI and art to be quite pleasant. Bright colors, and aesthetically pleasing player models are great. I don't need real players or schools due to my ignorance on the subject manner, so the simple logos are nice too. If you have ever played International Basketball Manager 23 (Great game and still being supported, btw), the art style has a similar vibe, except you can give the player models faces, varying from simple to more detailed models, with eyes and mouths that aren't creepy. If you have ever played Franchise Hockey Manager and the weight of your avatar's soulless, doll like eyes constantly bearing down on you from the top left corner is too much, you won't feel as unsettled here. TL;DR The game feels complete and even people that no nothing about NCAA sports will find a great sports management game here. GREAT!

I have been playing strategy games my whole life. I have played thousands upon thousands of hours of games like Civ and Football Manager. This is the first review of any game that I have ever written. Here it is: Football Coach: College Dynasty is a great game. The developer works continuously to improve it. Easily the best money I've ever spent on Steam.

This game has no right to be this good. If you are a fan of Football Manager or Out of the Park Baseball but sometimes wished for a somewhat simplified version of a sports management game then this is something that you would enjoy. While all of the game mechanics are simplified the dev did a great job of nailing the perfect balance of depth for every mechanic.

I've spent close to 2,000 hours playing Eastside hockey Manager. I have almost 400 hours invested into this game at the time I am writing this. If you enjoy GM simulation games you will absolutely love this game. And its still early access and constantly improving! I absolutely loved just simming seasons and recruiting on the old NCAA games. If you enjoyed doing that then this is an even better version. Start from the bottom, pick the worst team and work your way up to your dream job. You can even track your assistant coaches as they move on from your program.
