This game is awesome. The feelings I get when above the planet cloud layer getting ready to enter orbit is almost a zen moment. This is for sure the best flight sim out right now. My respect to the developer! Thank you for an awesome experience.

Bought the game after playing the free demo but wasn't sure I'd get a lot more play time out of it. I was wrong, as Flight of Nova is my third most played game from my steam library. Realistic flight model for atmospheric flights, seamless transitions from atmospheric to orbital flight, Newtonian physics in space with fully fledged orbital mechanics, random missions generator for infinite content. While admittedly niche, this game is a little gem and is unique in its kind. Did I mention there's a free demo ?

This is where you apply all that orbital mechanics knowledge you acquired from playing Kerbal Space Program. Fun little game. Shows promise. Could do with more content, but it's still early days.

This game is the ultimate hybrid of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Kerbal Space Program (excluding the building component of KSP). You fly a ship and complete tasks/deliveries, but flying the ship is not easy or straightforward unlike other games, as the game replicates Newtonian physics. You'll need a basic understanding of orbital mechanics to get into orbit and rendezvous with stations, which is easy to learn but hard to master. If this is your first rodeo then there is definitely a learning curve here. Precision is key and the game is unforgiving if you mess up, but this is a shared characteristic across games that implement Newtonian physics. All of this risk makes completing a mundane-sounding delivery actually feel really rewarding and satisfying. What makes this even more badass is that this entire game is made by a solo developer, literally just one guy!! This also means updates are few and far between, but when updates are released, they are always add lots of value to the game with lots of new things to do and bug fixes. Also the ultrawide and controller support on this game is great, flying with a joystick and throttle quadrant is so fun. Kudos to the developer, this game is clearly a labour of love and I can't wait to sink more time into this game. Now all you need to add is achievements ;)

Great space flight sim, with satisfying controls. The only thing it lacks is variety - imagine the possibilities if modding was to be enabled. Although, you can make any mission as hard or as easy as you want it to be through choosing a different flight path - maybe you want to just fly from A to B with multiple refuels? Maybe you decide to do a suborbital, high altitude hypersonic flight? Maybe the objective is so far that the fastest way is to just get into orbit, wait for 20 minutes and then do a reentry? If you are doing a reentry how do you want to approach it? Maybe do a powered reentry, maybe you have to skip off the atmosphere first and then do a secondary reentry because your spacecraft has too much energy - you get what I mean, if you're a nerd you will like this game. Also, I've played exclusively on an xbox controller which works fine, though I imagine playing on a HOTAS setup makes this game much better.
