Game has a ton of grind to it, not that I mind. The people all keep saying how stuff they have is aggressively designed to make you pay, but i haven't bought a single chest yet (albeit i did grab myself a rod to show them like $5 support as i like the game, and speed my crafting up) but unless you choose to look for them. there isn't a single popup encouraging purchases. Its just that it takes a LOT OF TIME to make progress which it should be for an idle game. Onto the idle game point, i understand peoples qualms over their what i'll call "tactics" with having aggressive fish, fish that run away, or timers preventing it being an optimal idle. It takes some skill to find a patch of fish you like to idle in overnight (game window must be open and not minimized which i do dislike with a lot of others, seems scummy) it all ties together to make this feel like a constant kick in the teeth when you wanna progress. for example, i've seen some people talk about the yellow fish. those guys were the devil to deal with until i farmed overnight for some upgrades via caviar (fish eggs resource in the game) but once i'd farmed them, the yellow fish became super easy to the point i have over 320k from farming ANOTHER source of them later that i unlocked that also provided more cash & caviar as well. Needless to say, it feels rewarding as all hell to finally farm the resource you needed when you CAN idle it, but most of the time its 75% IMPOSSIBLE to idle without spending, or wasting a ton of time elsewhere first (as you can tell by my hours i've wasted a lot lol) I'd give this game about a 6/10 because for core concept its not bad (yes i've seen and can tell it looks like a reskin of the alien idle, seems lazily put together there but does keep some small differences) The "idle" of having to leave my computer running this as a focused program is utter bs, any idle game should be able to actively be minimized and still work, cause its an IDLE GAME, don't force us to focus on it (I'm just one of the lucky few with 3 monitors so i can shove it to the side and not care, but for people with 1-2 monitors its a d*** move. The daily tasks and missions are alright, I'm not thrilled with 1-3 hour timers on almost all of them cause its dumb. 30min - 1 hour alone is plenty for idle games, i barely get 30-45 min to see what i wanna do on this game after work at night, quit ruining the bit i can already do.

I've played a few idlers before. This game is a bit more interactive than most idlers. In the long term, you need to pick and choose the right patch of fish to harvest for a few hours. If you feel like being a bit more hands on, you can hop from patch to patch and do a quest or two in the meantime. The quests reward marketplace items that can be equipped or used to craft items with greater rewards. The crafting is off balance. Sometimes you need dozens of an item while only getting 4 possible chances at it in the form of quest chests per day, which, I suppose, makes the market more appealing to some, but for most, it feels like a cash grab. Scaling is also off balance, especially when it comes to jellyfish. The 5x jellyfish should not take literal weeks to harvest. All that said, it is a pretty fun game. Let it sit in the background or play with it a bit and you will make progress, but even with pay to win items, it's going to be a long one. I'm enjoying it, but the developers need to seriously consider rebalancing some of the crafting and catches.
