Definitely reminds me of the old Emergency series. Does it have the best fire physics? No. But it has a good amount of content and it's fun.

decent game. for the graphics i thought it would handle better. very laggy despite having a very decent gaming setup. my only major complaint is that theres no auto save. played 6 hours straight thinking my game saved then had a power outage and had to restart from the very beginning. come on now. this isn't the 1980s do better and lets add auto save

It's a more casual and modern take on the old Fire Department game series and all in all, it's pretty fun. Visually this game is pleasant enough, however it becomes obvious that the developers used a lot of asset store assets, giving the game a somewhat "cheap" look as you would expect it from an asset flip game. However, the bulk of the development work seems to have gone into the gameplay side of things, which appears to be pretty smooth and fairly bug free. I've read some reviews comparing this game to Fire Department 3 and out of curiosity I reinstalled the old game to compare these two and I find this one a lot more enjoyable. FD3 Is fairly unforgiving, which is to be expected with its flashover mechanic and fairly strict and complex mission objectives. Fire Commander on the other hand is a little simpler in it's mechanics. There are some environmental hazards like barrels and gas tanks that can explode and they are a danger to the players units if the player doesn't pay attention. The player gets slowly introduced to new mechanics such as special classes of firefighters that can, for example, open certain pathways the regular units can't, however those introductions happen gradually and at no point do those new mechanics feel overwhelming to the player. In summary this is a pretty decent firefighter themed strategy game.

Playing this game is very exciting, it really delivers the feeling of being a commander of a firefighter team, and provides insight into the work of firefighters. The non-intrusive cinematics and an upgrade system complements the thrill very well. Well done!

Game does not autosave. played for like 8 hours. got to like 4th story mission. went to bed. got on today no save. lost all my stuff. awesome. other than that its a fun game.
